Harshit bowling slower to Mulani in the 3rd session.  Wants him to take a single.

 

Bowling much quicker to tailenders.

Still crossing 140 k regularly at the end of day.

Proper international class pace.  This is more of the sweet spot that we need in terms of speed. 

 

Not Arshdeep, Kaverappa level medium pacers .

 

Not the express pacers who are forever injured.

In tests, usually this is the sweet spot. There has been quicks who can bowl faster as well, but then their spells need to be managed, which I don't think anyone in Indian setup is aware of.
Likes of Kuldeep Sen has bowled 6-7 overs on trot at this pace in domestics. Bumrah and Shami has done the same in internationals, even Akashdeep did in the solitary test he played. Express pacers needs to be rotated after 3 or 4 over spells so that their pace remains effective. 
In my opinion, we shouldn't ignore the express pacers just because they get injured. Just like any other fast bowlers, they also need to be supported and backed. Express pace bowlers can win the matches for you in a spell itself.

I don't expect him to bowl express pace, I know he is slower than Kuldeep Sen who is a whisk away from express category.
As long as he operate in that 137-145 range of Bumrah and young Shami and can bowl long spells without slowing down, I will be happy.

Yes that's why I have constantly kept asking about Akashdeep and Kuldeep in particular .  Good mechanics apart from his front arm which falls away.  Looks fairly durable too.

 

You are right.  The potential express pacers need to be backed but they should be backed to bowl in this 138-145 range first. 

 

Even an absolute tank like Cummins could not take the load of bowling 145 + consistently and he had to remodel himself into 140 kph bowlers with control

 

 

If we can get them on the park and get some bowling into them that would be nice.

Specially Tyagi as he is not getting support from UPCA, so he need to ensure he play for another state where he can bowl some overs under his belt.

Utter confusion in selection and TM, LAF has a visible advantage in T20s, but there is no such record in Odis or test. Teams are fielding best side in those.

They are and have been mixing the formats not just with bowling but batting too. Gill is playing all 3 format and opening in T20s and Jaiswal only playing T20s and test.

Nt sure if there are many batters who are playing combination of Test and T20i s and not playing ODIs for the team, there could be many who may be playing Test and Odis or Odis and T20s but not Test and T20is.

Pant keeps playing t20is even after having bad records after 80-90 games.

There is a reason leg-spin or mystery spin is successful in t20s or odi as batters are looking to play big shots in white-ball cricket but in test they have time and not in hurry.

They can bat out such bowler and for mystery spin they can wait out and play only 1 line and after playing a lot of mystery from that particular bowler it will no longer be mystery.  

 

This is a backwards thinking that player has to be all format , you need format specific player. Test and t20s are two different games

Ind commentators are v.bad at reading the game in general be it older ones or newer ones.

 

Because of all these old thinking ind cricket is not progressing and its always playing catch-up and add to that star players taking atleast 3/4 more years to retire when they should have already retired, so bring the change is v.hard.

 

Not many ind batters plays sweep shots and which is a disadvantage against spin on spinnng tracks, they do not have reverse or ramp, ind does not have a single mystery spinner even in domestics.

 

Ind commentators always discourages faster bowlers event in domestic level. even when mayank yadav was bowling 150+ kmph in those IPL matches they didnt say anything good about that, they were trying to talk something else. They only appricated or talked about it once the foreign commentators keep on mentioning about his pace.

 

There is a reason why only sky is fitted for T20s  and good quick bowlers were not supported before the Kolhi and Shastri era and it seams like they are back to those pre Kolhi era kind of LA/LF nothing kind of bowlers

I'm a firm believer of that, very few players are capable of switching to all 3 formats. 
Gill is fine for ODI's and Tests, not for T20's. Jaiswal is the only batter who can switch to all 3 formats. Shami doesn't work in T20's and Arshdeep will not work in Tests.

Yeah even if they are bowling at slightly reduced pace that is OK. 

 

Can't keep them sidelined without any long term plan .

They obviously have plans for Mayank, they need plan for Umran he needs to play Odis along side Bhumrah asap.

Tyagi is he even playing ?? he needs to come to cricket ground first changes is action every season plays only few games per year.

Only turn up for IPls where he is benched all the times. He skipped(not sure why) UP t20 league too.
