Height of Aussie fast bowlers is making a difference. Their shortest pacer Cummins is 193 cm tall. Almost 10 cm taller than our tallest Akashdeep. They do get that extra bounce required to get the edges.

Aussie bowlers height and our batsmen defualt mode of forward defence

O'Rourke was hardly touching 142 k in tests in India.

What was his 2nd fastest ball of this test ?  Was this a speed gun error ?

He bowled a spell with quite a few at 150 kph

@express bowling you were so wrong about Rana's batting, him and Akashdeep combined won't even give us 20 runs.

Today you got your answer about Akashdeep's batting.

Regarding Rana, it's not smart to judge one's batting in a pink ball test. It behaves differently from the red ball and Indians hardly play with the pink ball and are not used to its behaviour.

Plus the creme de la creme of indian batting talent ... Rohit, Kohli, Pant, Gill etc. ...  have looked like tailenders on this tour. So we should cut the bowlers some slack when it comes to batting on this tour.

We give our batters so much time to succeed. Gill, Rahul, Rahane and Rohit have got chances after chances despite having low batting averages for 30+ games. But we get so impatient when it comes to bowlers, be it their bowling or batting..

Glitch,he isn't a 150 bowler

By that logic our DSP is the fastest bowler in the world by a country mile

Most of the times he logs in with his multiple IDs and blabbers around same thing

They think less than 10 matches are enough to draw conclusion or make an opinion about certain players

Harshit will disappoint many haters soon

Oh bhai, I only have one Id here.

I have not shown any hate for Harshit/Akashdeeps bowling.

I just said that both of them combined don’t equate to 0.75 batsman.

I know that Rana has potential and will play a lot more for us.

Similarly Akashdeep is our second best fast bowler on this tour.

Not a glitch . You can watch the spell from overs 19 to 29.  Everybody got beaten for pace - Root, Bethell, Brook, Pope.

The funniest part is, people's priority are so farking wrong. It IS the ducking batsmen who are failing, not the bowlers.

So, this is really not the time to discuss about bounce, pace, or swing. The bowlers aren't failing, the batsmen are. If they can't fix their game, they can't expect bowlers to do theirs. And why should bowlers score runs anyway.. ;p

What do people suggest here for our pace bowling, I mean the bowling attack is being carried by Bumrah, will a 4th pacer help here?
Should we go in with 4 specialist pacers?

I know our batting is the reason we are losing but we can't just put the whole bowling workload on Bumrah.

Assuming Rohit and Kohli can't be dropped, it has to be NKR.

Not that he did anything wrong but you don't need a number 8 who is primarily a batter.

Can be replaced with a 4th seamer

I have more faith in Gill coming good . Rohit at #3 will be a disaster :((

yes but its more for balance. Fatso cant be dropped. Consider any runs from him as a bonus.

Gill is not performing too as of now. Its better than dropping inform NKR

He has bowled 140+ in domestic too but since his dengue, he hasn't regained his pace back.

dengue was some time back, if he is not fully fit ,why was he picked then.

Also Ind should have played him the next test after debut match, Ind picked a bowler on v.small sample size and picked another bowler who would be making his debut in Aus.

There are serious flaws in planning for big tournaments. With no support from other side and how rohit captains a side there are possibility that bhumrah would get injured by the end of the series.

Nobody is putting extra workload on Bumrah. There are a total of 3 pacers, 1 spinner and a part time bowler in the team. Bumrah isn't having to bowl 100 overs in a day.

So you need to frame your sentence better.

If you are trying to say that Bumrah is the only bowler who is performing and taking wickets, then that's a different debate altogether.

Which brings us to a bigger menace, that is selection and knowingly choosing quota players. If Aus tour was a priority, why give chance to 3rd grade bowlers like Mukesh Kr and the likes, and put down Umran and the likes?

Someone needs to take the bullet here. So, someone needs to answer why was there no foresight 1 yr prior to the series? Now, that we are in Australia, there is absolutely nothing one can do. We have to go ahead with what we have.

Siraj bowling in the low 130s. This guy has permanently lost whatever little pace or intensity he had in the past.

Next match I’d go with Bumrah Harshit and Prasidh. Also not sold on deeps bowling at all.
