Mark Wood is a mediocre bowler, a true pace bowling fan will never enjoy watching him bowl. Anyone who thinks that Wood is a good bowler doesn't understand fast bowling and just likes to look at the speedometer.

Mark Wood is basically a bowling machine which will hurl the ball at you at 150, gun barrel straight. There is no art in his bowling, no finesse and no junoon and unlike the bowling machine this guy can't even maintain a consistent line.

Its very easy to recognise if a person understands fast bowling or not, ask his opinion about Wood and if he praises him then be sure that this guy knows nothing.

A thoroughly mediocre, run of the mill, wayward bowler. I change the channel when he bowls, his bowling is that ugly.

As expected though, the fans on ICT (who are pace starved) will orgasm at every 150 kph ball he throws.

comprehension problems?

Where did anyone praise his bowling average,SR?

He has maintained pace at this age which is commendable,it's a different parameter

Yaar tumhe itni baat samajh nahi aati

Tait was also a average bowler, but he's only talked about pace not his bowling average or quality

Tait wasn't an average bowler.  He was a top 3 wicket taker in 2007 WC. Tait had wicket taking ability in LOIs. Has low average in ODIs. His problem was injuries.

Tait only played 30+ Odis ,that's way too small sample

He wasn't offering anything more than what Lee,Johnson were offering

The kind of swing Rohit faced was common in the first 10 overs till 2010.. Nowadays batsmen struggling to handle it even if it lasts only for 1 or 2 overs.

30 might be low for batsmen but enough for a fast bowler to show what he has.  Very few starts doing well from the get go. He did.

Harshit needs to be used as a mid over enforcer + a death bowler for the time being.

Open with Arshdeep and Hardik.

Use Harshit + spinners in the middle.

Use Harshit and Arshdeep at the end.

Shami looks less than fully fit. Rest him in CC.

146.4

145.3

144.2

142.8

142.5

Missing all the action due to office commitments.

Will try to catchup highlights.

I really feel for Mayank now...should have been here as well if fit. Hope Harshit's performance motivates him.

Harshit was clocking mid 140s easily today.

He bowled just 5 overs as England was dismissed in 34 overs

His quickest from his 31 balls were .. From Hawkeye

146.4

145.9

145.4

145 3

144.2

143.0

142.8

142.7

142.5

142.4

And he was getting zip off the deck on a slowish pitch

Getting some balls to climb awkwardly too.

He was getting consistent and significant seam movement with the slightly older ball.

Bowled in good areas too.

Saw a couple of decent yorkers.

But one area he needs to work on is his control with the brand new ball.
