Adamant Posted February 11, 2025 Posted February 11, 2025 Mark Wood is a mediocre bowler, a true pace bowling fan will never enjoy watching him bowl. Anyone who thinks that Wood is a good bowler doesn't understand fast bowling and just likes to look at the speedometer. Mark Wood is basically a bowling machine which will hurl the ball at you at 150, gun barrel straight. There is no art in his bowling, no finesse and no junoon and unlike the bowling machine this guy can't even maintain a consistent line. Its very easy to recognise if a person understands fast bowling or not, ask his opinion about Wood and if he praises him then be sure that this guy knows nothing. A thoroughly mediocre, run of the mill, wayward bowler. I change the channel when he bowls, his bowling is that ugly. As expected though, the fans on ICT (who are pace starved) will orgasm at every 150 kph ball he throws. ind_hyd1 1

He isn't in the league of Brett Lee and Shoaib Akhtar as a wicket taker.

He was a top 3 wicket taker in 2007 WC. Tait had wicket taking ability in LOIs. Has low average in ODIs. His problem was injuries. Edited February 12, 2025 by rkt.india

Vk1 Posted February 12, 2025 Posted February 12, 2025 The kind of swing Rohit faced was common in the first 10 overs till 2010.. Nowadays batsmen struggling to handle it even if it lasts only for 1 or 2 overs.

Very few starts doing well from the get go. He did.

express bowling Posted February 12, 2025 Author Posted February 12, 2025 (edited) Harshit needs to be used as a mid over enforcer + a death bowler for the time being. Open with Arshdeep and Hardik. Use Harshit + spinners in the middle. Use Harshit and Arshdeep at the end. Shami looks less than fully fit. Rest him in CC. Edited February 12, 2025 by express bowling Mosher 1
