Days like these make me wonder what am I even supporting this BS. The fact of the matter is that the bowling has gone to the dogs. And it’s not just tactics but it’s just sheer quality of the personnel.
We are not anywhere close to the top 3 teams in tests.

There is no urgency or interest to address this issue

You simply can't win in SENA with weak pace attack and your bench should be also quality like the first string

Departure of Ishant,Umesh Shami left a serious hole,we never prepared for it even in these times motherchord Agarkar is giving chances to Bharibojh, khaleel etc to get special attention to build a strong attack

Are they deliberately doing it?

I don’t think it’s deliberate. These people r just morons and plus there’s a mind set issue that’s deeply ingrained. Unless there’s some forward thinking guy that deviates from that mindset, nothings gonna happen.
We need better selections and investments in the right kind of bowlers. U can change any number of coaches, it won’t matter.

Prasidh dismisses both Root and Bethel.

Probably too late.

Only if Siraj had not dropped" Brook off Prasidh when he was less than 10.

Dropping catches are part of the game. Jaiswal was dropped thrice I think. This pitch had enough juice for bowlers.

The delivery that Prasidh bowled to Root to dismiss him must be his default length and his stock delivery.. if he can bring the line a touch closer to offstump its is even better.. that dismissal in the context of the game should flare up his mojo to be a test bowler.

Siraj's fitness and focus was really impressive in this long test series. The only pacer from either side to play all 5 tests without getting injured  and be effective too.

He actually picked up speed from Test 3 and got zip off the deck. Was hitting the bat very hard in the last 2 tests too.

Speeds in every innings is given in the format stated below. I had noted it down after every innings.

■  143 .. LA 139
■  India did not bowl

■  142 .. LA 140
■  146 .. LA 140

Similar stats for Bumrah and Prasidh

BUMRAH ...

■  147 .. LA 145 .. Very fast in this innings
■  145 .. LA 144

■  145 .. LA 143 ..
■  145 .. LA 144 .. Very fast in this innings but picked a calf injury near the end

■  141 .. LA 139 .. Injured and slow in his first 10 overs

I saw 146 from Siraj today morning. It was an attempted yorker to Atkinson which he missed.

These speeds are what I have personally seen.  May have missed a few quicker balls as it is not possible to watch every over.

I will update this speed above.
