GolGappe Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 4 possible solutions: 1. Keep the lucky mascot. May happen. 2. Replace him with Ashwin. Allows to play 5 bowlers and yet replace Binny with a more dependable batsman. Most likely scenario. 3. Replace him with Rohit Sharma. Could happen. 4. Make room for Gambhir. Send Dhawan down the order for couple of games. A full session with Dhawan on crease can really change the game. Not going to happen, just out of box thinking on my part. If Jadeja gets banned, some of these options could be forced upon Dhoni.
vvvslaxman Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 We can't predict Dhoni. Going by his record "No change"
BeautifulGame Posted July 21, 2014 Posted July 21, 2014 If pitch is flat play Ashwin. If similar to Lords play Rohit Slightly harsh on Binny as he was done in by umpires twice but unfortunately his bowling isnt just effective
virufan Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 We can't predict Dhoni. Going by his record "No change" Binny will be dropped for sure. He didn't bowl even 1 over.
SLICKR392 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Binny will surely be dropped in the next game. Can't afford Ashwin and Jadeja in the same XI in these conditions.
Cricket_Hacker Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Dhoni basically said during PMP that binny's not going to play
flamy Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 lol Dhoni was hyping Jadeja as the all-rounder, and was saying let us forget about seamer-allrounder, we don't have any :cantstop:
CoverDrive Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Ashwin will be better option with similar batting capability and will reduce load of our seamers as he can put in many overs with old ball. plus will have chance against the left handers
puneet28 Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 I think Ashwin should be there but you know Dhoni, he will stick with Binny but won't give him bowling. Ashwin can be more useful than Binny
Stuge Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 He is not going to be dropped .They will keep the same combination . Don't know why he was even selected in the first place ,when Dhoni was going to do that .Did he kept him as a reserve bowler .
Sachinism Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Will get dropped. Pitch will decide who comes in. If it looks like it could spin Ashwin will come in. If its seamer friendly, not sure who they'll pick
StriKe Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 No one asked Dhoni about the role of Binny in playing XI in Post match interview and in press conference..how :hitler:
undisputed chap Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Dhoni relies on his gut feeling & from the way dhoni used him we can see that dhoni doesn't rate him. So rest assured he will be dropped if not in 3rd test atleast by the 4th.
Desi Cartman Posted July 22, 2014 Posted July 22, 2014 Drop him, include Manyata .. I think this will make everybody happy.
virufan Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Drop him' date=' include Manyata .. I think this will make everybody happy.[/quote'] Its mayanti
fineleg Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Drop him' date=' include Manyata .. I think this will make everybody happy.[/quote'] Hey, u really dont know her name, or just ishhtyle? :P Yes for non-playing allrounder, we can pick 10+mayanti
zep1706 Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Dhoni's lack of confidence in Binny's bowling was pretty clear in the first test itself. But he saved his spot by batting brilliantly. There was no way he could have been dropped in the second test, considering a number of factors: 1) pitch, 2) his good batting, 3) it is generally unfair to drop someone after just one test. but Dhoni did not bowl him much on a seemingly helpful pitch at Lord's and he did not get runs. So I expect him to be out in the next test. Most probably Ashwin will replace him.
maniac Posted July 23, 2014 Posted July 23, 2014 Binny was not good enough to begin with and obviously he will be dumped fair enough....while dhoni keeps shoving jadeja down our throats. But to see how many opportunities Raina got in tests and jadeja have got and how many binny has especially after his fluke 6wkt haul and his decent 78,as a neutral you must say it is unfair. But I guess all is fair when you enter the team through the back door.
