Overall it keeps on generating enough finances, support, public interest to keep the Indian space exploration going. :two_thumbs_up:

Amazing stuff to pull it off with the limited monetary support for such things in India. To address Ram's point about the success of a few organizations in India- it is largely due to their relative isolation from politics. Hopefully, this grand success does not change that.

They should have let the scientists and engineers in charge of the mission take center stage and take part in press conferences or make speeches. Later in the day the politicians could have made their speeches and send congratulatory messages if they wanted to. Their was no politician at ISRO. Anyways, Indian politician would never go to a launch function if they have doubts about the success of the launch :winky:. If you are talking about Indian Prime Minister, then you are being extremely unfair. When Rakesh Sharma reached space, the first thing which happened was , he had a talk with Smt Indira Gandhi, the then PM of India and it was a big media event of that time. Should ISRO chief of that time have called Rakesh instead of PM? No. Should Marine chief would have briefed the world about Osama killing rather than President of United States? No. Prime Minister of country is like CEO of company. I would be more than happy if during the Production deployment of my project, the CEO is also present. Even though I might not be liking him as an individual but him being there would be a big moral booster. PM of India is also a stake holder along with the scientists in any space mission. It is not that ISRO one fine day starts working on a mission without any consent or approval. PM of India is the head of Space Area and no project can be started without his approval. I know we had very bad period regarding this post for few years but we should be proud of the fact that the PM was their with his team.

"The Mars Orbiter has started sending pictures. We have received five pictures and these are under processing," the official said, preferring anonymity. further the data rates are in kbps for deep-space communication.. takes time to receive & post-process it
