vijay50 Posted December 13, 2014 Posted December 13, 2014 There are tons of option back home to replace him but we don't have any options in the squad I'd prefer Rohit over Raina anyday! If Raina plays a test in Aus' date=' that would be a new low since Vinay making his debut in Perth.[/quote'] Both stinks. Need to take the risk and play naman ojha.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 13, 2014 Author Posted December 13, 2014 Nohit stinks. Biggest FTB ever. No committment, no passion , no energy. So many better options and yet this mediocre test player gets chance after chance. +1 indian cricket's biggest joke. its stuff like this why we dont win test matches or series. Teams like AUS and SA have reserves and players ready to take spots. No one is given an infinite rope, even watson has recently been questioned. Why is india so adamant to play rohit? Even if rohit performs, the amount of matches he's lost for india will still far outweigh it. :((
Iconoclast Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Both Ashwin and BK are better test batsmen than him ... go with 5 bowlers and drop him .. would improve your batting and bowling.
yoda Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 India doesn't win matches cause we pick garbage like him.
kosingh Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 In was really infuriating watching him bet yesterday. You just knew he was going to get out early. He was trying everything possible to get out. Enough of this so called talent talent in tests. Replace him with a gritty survivor who can bat more than 2 sessions on Day 5. Looking majestic when in flow should not be a consideration. Not when the batsman gets into full flow once a year.
bharat297 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 He has struggled in overseas Tests so far, but the only logical replacement for him in this series is KL Rahul, a complete rookie. Remember, the Aussie series is the toughest away Test series in world cricket and I think it's important to look at the long term picture. I would give this entire top order the entire series. Remember, 5 out of our top 6 have never played a Test in Australia prior to this series. They have all done well in India and I think it's important to give our batsmen the best chance to get experience in Aussie conditions, and see who comes good by the end of the series. During the last Test series in Australia, Kohli looked out of sorts in the first two tests. His footwork was not great. He was going forward when he should have gone back. He was pushing at wide ones, and his head was going too far to the off side and then getting trapped lbw. However, Kohli worked really hard and came good by the end of the Test series. If 2 or 3 more of our top 6 can achieve the same in this series, India will be much better placed for the future. Already, Vijay is looking decent.
maniac Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Sad it has come to this.....yes rohit was one of average performers last game and I agree time to put him on the let go watch list but again rahane, pujara and kohli have been following up on some good performances backed by mediocrity as well....need 2 more consistent games and I will say it right now,I will give up on him..he hasn't got a consistent run in tests...odis he did and we saw he is paying dividends. U guys need to put your irrational hate aside
Austin 3:!6 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Straight swap with Raina in the next game please. I do not think Raina can be any worse that this pathetic batsman. Additionally we will get a part time spinner, better fielder and a great team player with Suresh Raina.
bharat297 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 How does selecting Raina make any sense? He's played 17 Tests and struggled against short pitched bowling, full swinging bowling and spin. Rohit has played 8 Tests and has not looked great but rather than giving him a full series to play out, we want to drop him for the guy that struggled even more. As bad as Rohit's last Test scores are, have a look at Raina's and then tell me that Raina would be a better bat than Rohit. The only logical replacement in the squad is Rahul. As bad as the selectors are, I'm so glad that Indian fans aren't selectors. We'd change the team 15 times during a 4 Test series, and then complain about it.
bowl_out Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 U guys need to put your irrational hate aside I'd rather say you need to put your irrational love aside :om:
rkt.india Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 I don't think so. We need to persist with him for this series. Lot off other players failed to. Rohit still better than most and we have to give him few nore test to see where he stands. Problem with Rohit is he never looks tight, doesnt exude any confidence, has no defense, never look settled, only a miracle can change things.
BeautifulGame Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Rohit deserves at least another test to prove himself . He had a horror series in SA but was decent in NZL and subsequently played just a single test in england and 1 in Aus . Can't just give 1 test a series and dump him . Look at this way Kohli flopped horribly in his first 5 away tests horribly .If Dhoni and selectors were as short sighted as ICF Kohli would have been branded as odi specialist forever. And Rohit only played 6 away tests in his career so far Give Rohit a chance at Gabba and see how it goes .
Gollum Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Hope he plays all 4 tests and does so bad that selectors never pick him again. Also public opinion will be dead against him.
beetle Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 This guy makes you want to pull out your own nails....... This big century is going to screw us for a long time to come.
Lannister Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 He's an utter useless cricketer. Whenever I see his lazy face my blood starts to boil.
BlueBee Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 He'll score a 200 every year in India and selectors will keep picking him. It's so ****
kosingh Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Australian commentators love comparing Nohit to Mark Waugh. But it's such a bad comparison. Mark is lazy elegant. Nohit is just lazy.
ThePhenomenal1 Posted December 14, 2014 Author Posted December 14, 2014 He doesn't have the guts or fight or determination.. overrated piece of crap.
jonas10 Posted December 14, 2014 Posted December 14, 2014 Come to to India and tel me he sucks. :cantstop:
