Post that, we also lost twice to Zimbabwe in the 2010 India-SL-Zim tri-series when Raina was the captain. We won against Sri Lanka but lost both games against Zimbabwe :wall: No code has to be inserted here.

Zim batting is good for minnow standard but their bowling is poor. Against Zim it may be close if we have a bad day. Ireland can't play spin I think, struggled versus UAE. So depends where we are playing them. I don't mind losing to Ireland to knock out Pakis. Open with Binny and Rayadu, batting and bowling. We will probably win!

A loss here or there, shouldn't terribly hurt Ind's QF chances except for having to play some of the tougher teams from the other group However, should Ind lose to Ire, kaanspiracy theories will be in galore in Pak :haha:

sandeep Posted February 25, 2015 Posted February 25, 2015 I don't want us to go undefeated in pool stage - Windies are the biggest risk of losing, but Zim is no pushover either. From a QF match-up perspective, at this point, its not clear what the benefits of being #1 vs #2 in the pool are, so its ok if we drop a game. Preferred QF opponent would be Bangles/Lungans/Pommies in that order - no one knows which team out of England and SL will stink more and end up at #4 instead of 3.
