I am not a Jaddu fan at all. Don't mind if he is dropped if there was someone else better. But I don't see any genuine alternative who can do well in flat tracks. Hence my comment. If Binny's bowling had venom in flat tracks, we could surely have gone in with him. But 10 overs of him is a big gamble with so little sample set.

Jaddu is there because of no decent alternative. That's the bottomline. Now that we move to India, Jaddu and Ash will be lethal but we DEFINITELY need to find a pace bowling allrounder.

I am no fan of Jadeja, but having put a process for the WC and you want him to be replaced with no good option in mind. That is lahori logic as well. When India won the CT with almost the same team or the 11 match streak in WC, we bask in DHoni's glory...and one KO, you come back with hindsight to cry over his selection. He was a decent pick based on performances till now, as the other options tried were more useless than him.

This effer has played close to 120 ODIs for India and bloody only his 1 fifty has come in a winning cause. All his fifties have been in loosing causes where he played too slow. We, Indians, make fun of Afridi all the time,but Afridi is ten times better than him

As with most small town Gujjus, wears earrings (most small town Gujjus have this misplaced notion of looking cool if wearing earrings). Has solid backing of his CSK captain Dhobi to get selected in the team... Will keep on getting selected in the team till Dhobi is around...

I remember seeing Jadeja for the first time in the 2009 T20 WC in England and he looked like a dear in the headlights then. Inexplicably Dhoni (or not as time has gone on to show) promoted him up the order in the must win game v Eng - he froze, Eng won and India were out. Since then he has improved but not to the extent of being a true all-rounder. At best he is a bits and pieces player - excelling in neither bowling or fielding. Its obvious favouritism from Dhoni that keeps him continuously in the team when his stats are so average. Jadeja will never amount to anything special as he lacks true talent but his continuous selection is now holding India back and blocking opportunities for other younger players.

I think people are being too harsh on him based on this match. He was bowling at the death and did perform with the bat. Problem is our middle order and pacers. Jadeja is not the most concerning thing about India atm

Look the lower order of all teams bro. Dhoni, Jaddu and Ashwin is a weak lower order compared to England, SA, Aus and NZ. And our top order consists of useless Rahane and out of form Kohli. How can we even win matches with this combo? There was a time when Jaddu was very good with the ball and could slog a few balls at the death. Now he has dipped in both areas.
