Cricket_Hacker Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 This is one area where we lag behind other sides- Lack of power hitters at the death.Australia have a factory,Sa have Miller,Duminy and all we have is Raina. Kulcha 1
JourneyMan Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 There is this one all-rounder who was in the youth side with sanju Samson. His name was something khan, Sarfaraz khan maybe. Not sure Kulcha 1
Number Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 I think purely raw hitter picked up from domestic won't work. Raina came in as a proper bat then developed power hitting game. I would like to try Uthappa. Can be a decent WK too. Kulcha 1
urbestfriend Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Dont need power hitters, agressive batsmen will do the job more consistently...DK jadhav is the one name that comes to mind.
TNAmarkFrmIndia Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Not a "hitter" per se but Kedar Jadhav scores quickly.
Vijy Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Not a "hitter" per se but Kedar Jadhav scores quickly. That he does. Too fast for his own good most of the times. Iyer is a very promising lad.
Texan Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Not a "hitter" per se but Kedar Jadhav scores quickly. Jadhav scores rapidly via cheeky shots. Not quite a big hitter. His technique is dicy though and may not work outside India. Shreyas Iyer is a name I would consider. But not quite a power hitter in the Yusuf Pathan mould either.
Texan Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 So basically no genuine hitters? Damn. Well, we have them in the team already. MSD, Raina, if Rohit Sharma is around past the 40th over then he too.
jusarrived Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Only Uthappa can hit pace bowlers . Havent seen Shreyas Iyer
jusarrived Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 ^ Dont even get me started on him Cant belive he actually played for India
FischerTal Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 Tiwary was once known as left handed dhoni :yoyo:
FischerTal Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 What about this jaggi chap? Pretty high list a average :hmmm:
Vijy Posted March 21, 2015 Posted March 21, 2015 What about this jaggi chap? Pretty high list a average :hmmm: His SR is low - seems to be an orthodox bat. Chepu has a very high avg (and even decent SR), but we know he's not cut out to be an ODI player.
