Gollum Posted May 15, 2015 Posted May 15, 2015 WTF !!! 2 months of IPL is more than enough. Any more of this circus will satiate interest of even the diehard IPL fans, too much of anything is bad. What the hell are BCCI dumbos thinking now? CLT20 is a great concept but IPL teams shouldn't be allowed to send so many teams, make the format more fair, have 2 top franchisee teams each from India,Aus,Eng,RSA,Pak,WI and one each from NZ,Lanka,BD ;make the contest fair and people will automatically love it. The way I see it now IPL teams have more spots than they deserve,so more foreign players(the main reason why quality in IPL is higher) who prefer IPL only because of $$$ are not able to play for their country's franchisees and hence the winner is almost always an IPL team.Also doesn't help that most of the editions have been played in India. CLT20 should rotate around at least 3-4 countries(the least they can do) so that every edition is different from the previous one and good teams have to adapt a different formula each time to come home triumphant(will push the owners,captains,managers,selectors to think out of the box and make the games more interesting). Also make it the biggest prize in T20 cricket worldwide(like UEFA Cup) and every franchisee cricketer's dream. In such a system a CLT20 win will be much bigger than IPL/BBL/CPL/other T20 league titles !!! More so then attendance problems will be taken care of and the greedy bigwigs can still make their moolah. Such a brilliant concept and ruined by the 3 greedy, power hungry boards,especially BCCI :facepalm: I personally am indifferent to all T20 leagues but if others find it entertaining so be it. At least make it a real deal, not this farce. Was hoping for our players to get adequate rest/training period before the all important test series against RSA at home in winter. But thanks to our greedy,power hungry,callous,unpatriotic board Kohli,Rahane,Ashwin,Yadav etc will be playing this disgrace of a competition in stead of working hard to stop RSA's unbeaten overseas march. We are capable of stopping RSA and improving our test ranking by leaps and bounds but our board doesn't give a ****!!!

Shortening the tournament and playing in different country will do good for them. I hope all the players are available atleast for a couple of weeks in their busy schedule.

I haven't followed the IPL but by looking at the points table it appears as if: a) MI vs. SRH is a QF, one of them will advance b) If RR wins vs KKR, it would advance too. In that case RCB and KKR will be on 15 w/ RCB having a game on hand vs. DD c) If KKR wins vs. RR, both RCB and KKR secure their places in the last 4; Other spot decided by the MI vs SRH game d) Some other scenario based on no results :P

Clt20 is fine with teams all over the world competing against each other,just that it has too many ipl teams
