While India obviously performed badly Bangladesh deserve a lot of credit. They've been a decent side at home for a while now and in the past 6 months they've come on leaps and bounds. Streak has done a great job with their bowlers like Taskin,Mustafizur,Rubel,Mortaza etc. and their batting line up is pretty strong and more importantly have the right mindset. Throw in the fact they are a ridiculously young team and I think its time to realise that, after a long long time, Bangladesh have finally arrived at the upper table of the sport and should be a mid tier limited overs side from now on. Time to accept they're no longer the joke of cricket like they had been from 1999-2007
+1, India and Pakistan needed to be at the top of their games to stop the BD juggernaut and both failed. Bangladesh is the new 90s Lanka.

Bang Bros are following the India model - dominate on heavily doctored home pitches and then get azz whooped everywhere else :giggle:
That is actually better than winning through metal bottle caps and getting azz whooped when bottle bottle caps started being made of plastic.

Cant play spin overseas cant play medium pace in the subcontinent what sort a team has kohli inherited :hysterical: Hope we don't return winless from this away tour too :cantstop:
Too be honest this could be blessing in disguise, remember when we lost to pak heads were rolled out.

Yeah with the new board officials and the new advisory committee things should only improve - kohli should be given complete charge across formats and he should start taking some bold calls.
Selecters need to be shown the door first very disappointed with patil and co, need to shake up the whole domestic, under 19 and list a setup and infuse new player in team, like we did in tests.

I don't understand why IPL is dragged into this. IPL is not there to produce good ODI players for India. IPL is not there to produce players. Ranji and countless domestic matches are there for that purpose. You have to perform to get to play in IPL not the other way round. IPL is above these petty international matches. Players perform well in internationals so that they get to play IPL.

And once they get in IPL, do they continue performing in International matches regularly or they can manage by just performing in home international matches or not performing at all? What about those players who manage to become the pet players of the Captain and/or play for his IPL team?

And once they get in IPL' date=' do they continue performing in International matches regularly or they can manage by just performing in home international matches or not performing at all?[/quote'] For Indian players once is enough :dontknow: Thats why players who are past their primes too get into the IPL teams. The number of Indian players required in IPL is too high, so every Tom Dick and Harry from India gets a chance to play. There should be no restrictions on number of foreign players or at best each team should be forced to play 2 Indian players.

yes, rude awakening for a lot of fans here who assumed that this series is a gimme, even with our team underperforming.
