express bowling Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 (edited) In ODIs--Some tough decisions taken. I like that part. Very happy to see no Mohit, Aravind, Binny, Rayudu ..... BK and Raina dropped is a horses for courses policy and would give opportunity to some young players....which is much needed. Would have liked to see Pandya, Iyer and Aniket....in place of Rishi, Pandey and Sran.Nice to see Yadav, Ishant and Shami making a comeback.Why Axar Patel ! The guy cannot bat. Why do we need so many spinners in Australia ?Sran's 13 wickets from 6 matches in the VH trophy must have helped him get selected. ( along with the fact that he is a left armer and tall, hit the deck, fast-medium bowler )Why Rishi Dhawan ? Pandya is clearly better. In T20s --Very happy to see Pandya. Happy to see Yuvraj and Nehra.Why Harbhajan ?Sad to see there is no Iyer. Overall....more things done right than wrong in my humble opinion. Ironhide Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Good job done by selectors, Nehra T20 form is awesome and they are not looking at long-term, just need till March T20 World Cup. Nehra still bowls at 135-140k with swing and great yorkers too, apart from providing the much needed left arm variety. Yuvraj Singh has been in good form in domestic cricket from quite some time and in the on-going Vijay Hazare trophy he has single handedly won 3-4 matches for Punjab. Good to see Trundlers Aravind, Binny, Mohit out of the team. The best pace all rounder in India: Hardik Pandya is selected for T20. Odi team also has good squad witch chances given to youngsters like Manish Pandey, Gurkeerat, Barinder Sran and Rishi Dhawan. Good on selectors dropping Bunny, Rayudud, Aravind. Going back to Nehra not a good move . Should have given a chance to some youngster . Same case with Yuvi. vishalvirsingh Posted December 19, 2015 Posted December 19, 2015 Will manish pandy suceed against Australia in Australia.Is he better than Iyer or karun nairn and raydu.Raina will be back in odi soon but I didn't expect him to do much in Australia.Good to know that average performers like binny n even bhuvi were dropped from one day.bhuvi was becoming wicket less.Rishi was bucketing wickets in domestic cricket so he shud suceed in international world too though not that much.I m sure he will be a fine bowler ..he is a better bowler than binny..I hope he scores some runs too.Some guys said brainder bats too..does he.
