gakgupta Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Indian team hardly had good pace bowlers in T20 and ODI's . India had struggled hard to find a bowler in dearth overs. But i think Bumrah is doing wonderfully well. I have no doubt he will become best dearth bowler india has produced...Only thing is....his action is injury prone and he should be managed well...keep him away from test matches...Sent from my XT1068 using Tapatalk
express bowling Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) After a long time we are seeing a new pacer from India who is combining pace and bounce with accuracy.Bumrah has many pluses...good pace, consistent bounce, seam movement both ways, good accuracy, excellent yorkers as well as the ability to bowl to a good plan. The main issues for his continuing success will be 1 ) Not losing pace 2) Not changing his action or release style 3) Not trying to do too many different things and sticking to simple things like he is doing now. 4) Ability to handle fame and money which is about to followPacers with great bowling actions, like Pattinson and Starc, also get injured often. That is part and parcel of being a fast bowler, especially these days. Bumrah's body is used to his strange action and it won't affect him as adversely as much as people think. Temujin Khaghan Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 (edited) hard to believe aaron and umesh cannot produce a yorker on a consistent basis. I mean I can understand if they fail to swing the ball. Some bowlers just dont have the strength in their wrists or a problem in their release to do it over and over again. But like aaquib javed said, it takes around 3-6 months for a fast bowler to master a certain length if he applies himself. hard to believe umesh and aaron cannot do that. Ankit_sharma03 Posted March 6, 2016 Posted March 6, 2016 Capabilty - yes he can become one of best but best i dnt think so, Coz i feel our best Odi bowler would be Shami who is comeplet Odi bowler. With new ball old ball he is equally dangerous in all conditions. But has to improve his fitness n fielding for long run. Also rite now what is working in favour of him is his unsual action. Within an year teams would pick him up and the challenge wud begin then. Also after post one year i get scared for all indian bowlers. The challenge to succeed at Int Level is how do u evolve urself . When ur new teams dnt know you. Soon they ll figure out a way and pose a challenge infront of you and its then how u cope with it. I would like to see improvement in his bowling with new ball, even though i feel as a strategy he shud be always a one change bowler. And his workload shud b managed by just sticking with him in Odi n t20 cricket and ask him to work acc. Like on variations, bouncers, yorkers and types of yorkers which malinga also pointed in their interview. M also putting my bet on Brainder sran if he works on his fitness and game with someone like zaheer khan. HE could be someone who ll take a lot of lot of wickets. What all these bowlers need is proper guidance. Bcci Plzz hire Zaheer khan tweaker 1

Or wither away like IKP, L Balaji, Sreesanth, RPS, Munaf Patel, Umesh Yadav (odis) et alYes, I wont hold my hopes high already. We have all seen new guys come in and do well but they canto sustain it. They do not lt long.
express bowling Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 For bowlers - question is can they sustain and improve? Or wither away like IKP, L Balaji, Sreesanth, RPS, Munaf Patel, Umesh Yadav (odis) et alPathan and Balaji's problem was lack of pace. As long as the novelty factor was there, they did well but medium pacers rarely succeed in the long run and this applies to any new medium pacer that we may play in the future.Sreesanth was a volatile character and many people were skeptical of his long term sustenance from the very beginning.Umesh is bowling decently under Kohli.Munaf Patel and RP Singh are the only 2 pacers with potential who have gone downhill. I guess this happens in every country. adi B and tweaker 2
express bowling Posted March 7, 2016 Posted March 7, 2016 They just don't have the brains in simple terms. In Aaron's case, is he even playing in domestic cricket much?Aaron is not brainless. He was quite accurate and bowled objectively when he burst into the scene first. Some modifications to his action, brought about by repeated injuries, have resulted in him losing accuracy. He has not played enough matches on the trot after returning from injury to get his accuracy back. Mosher, tweaker and zen 3

You forgot his yorkers on debut, his yorkers in NZ against Neesham. He has not played enough to show that. He has played 4-5 ODIs in last 3 years. No T20Is yet.Problem with Aaron and Umesh is that their pace is a double-edged sword - if you can't execute the discipline to bowl to your set field, even edges and mishits will find the boundary, and in double quick time with their pace. Its good to light up the speed-gun consistently, but if you put it in the wrong areas, then the ball will just fly away faster - and that has happened umpteen times. Otherwise, No captain will leave a bowler with that pace on the bench, because well directed pace is a great weapon to have, and can dismiss or at least control the best of the batsmen. Still, Umesh has shown signs of improvement and hopefully finds his LOI groove after the good 2015 ODI WC he had. adi B, Lannister and tweaker 3

Sent from my Nexus 4 using Tapatalk It is actually the other way round. Bumrah's arms are too straight and stiff....which is why it looks unnatural. Stuge 1

speedheat Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 I was really impressed by him that pin point yorker and bullet like bumper in last over and also clocking 144kph We must keep him away from stupidest format of cricket ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya ya. That bowler killing test format Lannister 1
adi B Posted March 8, 2016 Posted March 8, 2016 Bumrah is a tremendous loi find for us ,he is the perfect mix with shami in the shorter format and the good thing is that he looks to bowl quick and will only improve from here.bumrah, shami, ashwin will be the backbone of the loi bowling attack for the next few years and we can add Pishant, aaron, booby, yadav in the mix as support pacers.Aaron should be tried in odis now,its high time he gets few games, cant waste a genuine quick like that, umesh has disappointed me in odis though he's a completely different bowler with the red cherry under Kohli so I have hope!!
