Agreed. I'm a big believer in bowlers, rather than batsmen being key to a winning side, even in T20. At Yorkshire we've had Root, Finch, Maxwell, Miller and Williamson, but the only season we came close to winning the T20 tournament we had Starc (where is he btw?) bowling in the powerplay and at the death

I agree .... I see bowling similar to first securing the base .... 2 or 3 batsmen on the day can win you a game but you would usually need most of the bowlers to do well

No rahane is pure class when it comes to test, n also he is very early in his test career. He ll only get better

Its just painful to watch in short format, even though he has played few very gud innings in Odi

But if he plans to play to make a career in short formats, Watch these guys how they construct their innings. All this excuse of not having abilty to play shots is rubbish. He can play shots but just doesnt have the sense to construct an innings like them

Rahane at this point just doesnt have the power and ability to play shots, accept it.

I have been saying this and will say it again, this England side as far as batting is cocerned is even better than Australia and newzealand and on batathon pitches like Mumbai they can outbat anybody, only saffers can match them but the thing is saffers only have 1 360°player(ab) while England has 3(Roy,buttler and root )and others too are very innovative, out of top five teams, it's painful to say this but we have the weakest set of hitters and this time around our bowling is a lot better which is making us competitive, problem with England is their bowling is 360° as well that is they will get carted all over.

Only if they chase...thier fast bowling is pretty average will all bowlers of similar style...Finn & Wood missing is big loss for them.

I doubt they reach Semi though.

Our bowling has gotten weaker but our batting has gotten stronger. I feel our batting is even stronger than the Indians.

Thats my point, it not all about power. 

n its not even that rahane doesnt have shots his innings against sa in wc n that 80 in wankhade suggested he has shots. 

But he doest have the game to rotate in btw , what makes dhoni n kohli the master of the game. 

Thats y i suggested root innings is an xample for him. He did nothing bizzare just simple comman sense cricket. 

U hve to keep the scorecard ticking with singles n look for shots in btw. Rahane can play a few shots .

I knw he lacks a lot of ability but my post was basically a suggestion to what he can do .
