sourab10forever
It's going to be very very tough considering that WI have played here before . The small ground suits their batting. We got beaten hands down to SA here in the ODIs. I think what we need to win are at least slight turners otherwise it could be a nightmare against Gayle and co. Adi_91
If we win tomorrow, I have decided to close my eyes and watch the match, because I can't take the slam bang cricket that is likely. tweaker 1 Link to comment
Ultimate_Game
Let's worry about the SF when we get there. Getting past the Aussies is a bigger challenge IMO. Stuge, sscomp32 and diehardpacer 3 Link to comment

TNAmarkFrmIndia
Or WI would just bottle it in a semifinal.Play Bhuvi. We won't have to worry about Gayle. beetle 1 Link to comment
fineleg
MSD keeps doing "unchanged 11". Lets wait to get past Aus first. Aus are favorites in the KO and its gonna be tough for "unchanged 11" to get past them at Mohali. diehardpacer 1 Link to comment

sourab10forever
u think we have the capacity to chase down a 190 agaisnt slow bowlers like bravo and Russell ? Kohli cannot strike everyday. With raina being in horrible with the bat and yuvraj only able to play a 30 from 25 kind of second fiddle innings , this line up is unpredictable. Rohit and Dhawan's form is a concern . Jadeja is well...Jadeja. So only Dhoni and Kohli should win us the WC? Link to comment
zen
If it is ok, we can use this thread for pre-match discussion too! In its last two games, Ind has won games it would have usually lost by using magic cards. Have to see how many magic cards it has remaining, hopefully at least two. If Ind is out of its magic passes, I m expecting WI to go through. If WI bats first 50 WI, 50 Ind If Ind bats first 60 WI, 40 Ind Overall, WI 55, Ind 45 adi B 1 Link to comment
fineleg
^ very optimistic rett. We have used up all magic cards IMO. Its a case of - Can the rest of the players step up or not? If they dont step up, then its over. Its not even close to 60-40 Edited March 28, 2016 by fineleg Link to comment

Mariyam
Have we ever lost to West Indies in a WC game? We defeated them in 2011 WC. We beat them in 83 when they were the favourites. Past trends augur well for us. Link to comment
zen
Assuming that the pitch is flat and Panday replaces Yuvi, below is the 11 that I would play: Pandya - a gamble but worth the risk if he gets going in the PP. also playing Pandya mainly as a batsman. his bowling is a lottery and his over can go for 20-30 runs vs in-form batsman on this track Rohit - persisting with him because he has not looked out of sorts in the middle but has somehow managed to get himself out. would probably do well in Mumbai Kohli Panday Dhoni Open - this is a tricky spot as Dhawan, Raina and Rahane have not inspired much confidence to show that they are in good nick. Playing Negi has a hitter could be a good option too and his overs could be useful Bhajji Jadeja Ashwin Nehra Bumrah G_B_ 1 Link to comment
vijay50
If yuvraj is fit, Dhoni will play unchanged team. Dhoni is not known to change the winning combination, unless there is an injury. Edited March 29, 2016 by vijay50 Link to comment

G_B_
Depends what pitch is used. Wankhede pitches are rock hard but do start to spin with a lot of wear and tear. If they use the same pitch which has already been played by mens and womens teams there will be spin on offer IMO Link to comment

Mahaa Raavana
Meh..Don't see any obstacles in India's path to the cup... being pessimistic seems quite the fashion nowadays. In semis you've got two teams that struggle against quality spin and one that chokes on semis habitually.. BTW wankhede will NOT be a flat track come Thursday.. it will be low and slow with reasonable help for spinners. Laaloo 1 Link to comment
