Ajinkya Rahane has lost us one more T20.The sooner he is dropped the better. 7 run in 7 balls in the opening overs by a relatively new guy or 6 runs in 6 balls by the very experienced Dhoni? If you reach needing 8 runs of last 6 balls chasing 245, that means the slow start did not matter. We constantly needed over 12 runs and near 13 most of the match. From there to 8 from 6 is a walk in the park. Rahane can be blamed for a lot but not this defeat beetle, Mosher and express bowling 3

Anyone in the world is going to blame the more experienced player over a newbie in any format. This habit of constantly defending Dhoni and blaming every new player is sickening. Rahul got 2 balls in the last over, he would have easily finished the match if he had got 1 more ball or even the last ball. But please continue blaming Rahul who is a complete newcomer and scored a sterling 100 and deflect blame from the most experienced T20 player in the world today and the best finisher Scoring 6 of 6 of the last over in a T20 needing 8, where RR of both innings was over 12 is more criminal Edited August 27, 2016 by New guy

How is that more strike? lets do the simple analysis .. out of 6 balls , dhoni gave strike to rahul twice twice rahul has got a chance to finish the game , but both the times rahul gave the strike back to dhoni anyway i would like to take my word back .. i actually want to convey that dhoni gave strike to rahul , but i put it as more strike

sscomp32 Posted August 27, 2016 Posted August 27, 2016 No matter who did, why does it always have to be a batter's mistake? Why were the batter's forced to make mistakes? Because of the bowler. Why cant a bowler bowl well? Are they machine that they don't have the right to do well and only here to get smacked by the batsman. Bumrah did really well in last 2 overs of his bowling but we are crediting him instead of blaming the west indies batters for being incompetent? Bravo is a brilliant death bowler and he has done it before with indian team and he did it again. Just accept the fact bravo induced mistakes, when this becomes too frequent then we have a problem. nevada Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 I think it is "process" which cost us the match. Dhoni always goes with a scripted formula in chases - keep wickets in hand, knock the ball around and run hard, take it to the last over, and then go for big hits to settle the match. Today's match was one of those situations which required the script to be altered and Dhoni didn't. He had the opportunity to take the game away from the WI in the 18th over itself but what does he do, he sticks to the process and drags the game till the last over by which time he and Rahul ran out of steam. Bravo is a really good death bowler. Rahane the way he started off was just not acceptable when chasing 240+ he is no rohit to pick up later on.. same reason we didn't get 220 in t20 SF No matter who the bowler is 8 of 6 balls will done 99 out of 100.

sourab10forever Posted August 28, 2016 Posted August 28, 2016 WI batsmen or likes of Rohit and Kohli can make up for a slow start. Rahane has shown over his career he can't. he plods along at the same rate and doesn't have the skills or ability to tear apart a bowling attack. It was such a part that even he could have scored a decent knock had he got going...we have seen it in IPL Rahane cant score a 48 ball 100 in 10 lives. He isn't in the team for that.
