Grass is there just to hold up the pitch. Cracks are already there and the pitch will start helping the spinners as the match goes on. This is a good pitch.

Pitch is fine - traditional Indian pitch - batting friendly, the 1st couple of days.  India better match England's batting in the 1st innings.  I'm still hopeful of keeping Pommies below 425 - don't know how, but hopeful.

Obvious worry is how DEEP England's batting is, Broad is at 11!! We need quick early wickets tomorrow... still Bairstow to come too. Moeen is at 5, on the face of it that seems too high, but he is more than repaid the faith, and it means they have 6 bowlers.

Eh no. India wont win this test. England with the depth they have in batting will easily score 550 odd and either declare or all out. Then its a catching game for India. Play fantastic cricket to salage a draw or you will lose. The pitch will detoriate as well as the game progress. No way India winning this test.
