Laaloo Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I remember the days when I used to only watch India bat and go to sleep when we bowl. But man, it's fun watching these bowlers ball. They are impeccable. Give them a surface like this, and they will walk the talk. Even under Dhoni, I loved watching our bowlers the first couple of years in his captaincy before the process got to his head. express bowling, Cricketfanatic, sourab10forever and 4 others 7
Cricketics Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Interesting times for India with Shami bowling at his peak. He and Ashwin have made this bowling more watchable along with Yadav and Bhuvneshwar showing their skills of speed and varitions. We are still long way away from being a good consistent bowling side but if Shami and Ashwin can lead the attack and get support like this like they have got recently from other Indian bowlers, we are looking at a really really good test side for years to follow. Unleashed Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Kohli is the best thing that could've happened to our fast bowlers. Cricketics, sandeep, express bowling and 5 others 8
Rightarmfast Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Don't forget we have Ishant in the reserve, Nathu, who we yet have to see and the 2 fast bowlers from under 18 team! And all of them are towards the faster side. Mosher, express bowling and Cricketics 3

Looks like we are developing a fast bowling culture at last. p.s - RAFbhai...I hope you saw Shami's hostile spell today....2 wickets from nasty bouncers and one hit to the head preceding a wicket....many other good bouncers. putrevus Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 (edited) The only thing I want is fast bowlers picking 5fers in India .Once they do it on regular basis then we will have complete team capable of beating anyone anywhere. Edited November 29, 2016 by putrevus

Another problem with pacers is that they do not bowl enough overs to take 5-fers. Mosher, Rightarmfast and MCcricket 3

Utter ridiculous captaincy from Kohli to remove Shami from attack after his brilliant two overs.India needs to find pitches which help fast bowlers and Kohli should allow them to make mistakes but they have to be given longer spells. They have to learn how to run thru batting line ups and bowl second and third spells in a day. They should not be satisfied by taking couple of wickets here and there. Once Shami and Yadav regularly chip in with some 5fers, it totally changes the balance and outlook of this attack. I feel Shami is capable of taking 5fers he just needs to get longer spells.
Riju23 Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Any lefthanded fast bowlers coming up the ranks? What happened to Sran? I thought he was beginning to show some potential

Pradeep Sangwan of Delhi is another talented quick who has added a lot of pace and is decently skilled too. Rightarmfast 1

Riju23 Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 I had sort of given up on Sanghwan but I do remember that he was a terror at the U-19 level. I hope he can still contribute for India down the line
fineleg Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Yep kudos to our bowlers who have been bowling their hearts out to take 26 wickets per match to win us matches. Also, kudos to our bowlers for their batting and even #10 and #11 try to hang around or score a bit to help that little bit to our total score.

Wonder how Sayyed is as a bowler - started very young, faded away, and then came back quite strong this season
Cricketics Posted November 29, 2016 Posted November 29, 2016 Sangwaan seems to be getting back on track after being suspended for anyear. He is back bowling faster and doing decent this season. 6 hours ago, Riju23 said: I had sort of given up on Sanghwan but I do remember that he was a terror at the U-19 level.
