People were crazy for Ashwin meanwhile Jadeja was even dominating Ashwin at home turf too.

 

 

Jadeja is the smartest and consistent of the three spinners overall in any conditions.

This series has highlighted the fact that this team doesn't miss Ashwin at all. Forget about missing, the replacements have out performed Ashwin.

Having already been discarded from LOIs, it's certain now Ashwin improve his game overall to stay relevant.That would mean, not only bowling but also considerable improvement in batting and fitness.

I doubt at his age he can get better, also listening to him like he sounds full of himself - which isn't a bad thing per se - but then you go on & do even worse by telling all your secrets, like in that first England test, then get jack all for the rest of the series. Let's just say he's too good, for his own good.

Jadeja 2 tests 7 wickets Ashwin 1 test 6 wickets. How is he useless. He averages less than Jaddu lol Just be objective. But for his partnership with Pujara in the first we would have lost the first test.

Look at the number of overs Ashwin bowled.  You can’t compare the two.

 

Ashwin has bowled many overs and kept being given chance. You seriously can’t be comparing his stats to Jadeja as yet. Jadeja if given enough time as much as Ashwin got, would show more wickets and better economy.

He maybe slightly better than Jadeja(total body of work) as a bowler but India has atleast 3 pure spinners who can outdo him. Nothing against him but we need something better than him.

Ashwin is not that good on last day for some reason. Strike rate is an issue. Saying he is totally useless is too much. He played one of the most important role in winning that test.  More than KL Rahul, M Vijay even Kohli.
