PSB_Zone Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 With the evolution of Jadhav, Rahul, chahal and virat as captain, suddenly Rcb looks ridiculously strong ipl side .ALso they hv an option to pic few in the comming auction From the retained player, the playing X1 looks like this Kohli/Gayle/Abd/Rahul/Jadhav/Binny/Mandeep/Starc/Chahal/Badree/Arvind extra/ Milne, watson,Shamshi Now they will look for fast bowlers in the auction and there is Jonshon, Morney, steyn, abott and Ben strokes tooo tweaker 1
Unleashed Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Watson should be in every T20 squad on default. Genuine asset.
philcric Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Last year RCB was extremely unlucky to lose their 2 best bowlers (Starc, Badree) all tournament. Still they reached final and almost won it, after playing almost their last 5-6 league games as virtual knockouts. Gayle I think will miss out from the playing XI. ABDV, Watson, Starc, Badree will be the first choice 4 foreign players. Gayle, T Head, Shamsi, Milne and couple of the others will be the backups. Looks good in the foreign player department. Indian contingent also looks strong in batting and spin with Virat, Rahul, Mandeep, Jadhav, Sarfraz, Chahal, Abdulla. What they really need is a couple of good Indian pacers. The likes of H Patel and S Arvind do not inspire confidence. All the obvious good Indian pacers like Shami, B Kumar, A Nehra etc are already taken, RCB should go for a few new ones with potential like Nathu Singh and the like. tweaker 1
philcric Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 My XI from the existing squad .. S Watson K Rahul * V Kohli A DeVilliers Sarfaraz Khan + K Jadhav S Binny M Starc S Aravind S Badree Y Chahal tweaker 1
BeautifulGame Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Still gone choke so what's the fuss velu, Rasgulla and Sidhoni 3
Ankit_sharma03 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 On paper yes But they need bowling to defend or give them decent totals to chase Gayle has become highly inconsistent now Watson, gayle, jadhav, sarfraz yuzi, arvind arent gr8 in field, so fielding is there issue. _ramkumar 1
tweaker Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 They should target Thampi,Nathu, this auction express bowling and Bystander 2
beetle Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 RCB will still choke. Dhoni won't be there to give advice in desperate panic situations. _ramkumar, Sidhoni, tweaker and 4 others 7

Sidhoni Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 They have had hell of a squad for 3-4 seasons now. Cricket isn't played on paper. sscomp32 and velu 2

PSB_Zone Posted February 3, 2017 Author Posted February 3, 2017 I must say MI with bumrah, malinga, mcgleshan, bhajji and pandyas looks the best bowling Side.. They need to pic a good batter probably eion morgon this auction and that will make them formidable
LordPrabhzy Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 If RCB dont want Gayle regularly lets hope they can release him and Kings XI get him. We need a explosive opener as it is
Sandeep99 Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 Didn't they always look so? Alas.. only if strength on paper mattered.. All it took was the conviction of 1 man to snatch the title from them.. #Warner sscomp32 and beetle 2

Bowling was always weak. Last year bowling too would have been strong but Starc and Badree both missed the whole season due to injuries. Mumbai and Chennai always had better all round squads than Bangalore.

Batting is overrated.... Ab lacks mental strength.....gayle can't play half decent bowling anymore....Rahul is still learning the tricks of the trade... Watson is washed up... pretty much a one man and one ground team..srh team walks all over them for a reason
maniac Posted February 3, 2017 Posted February 3, 2017 (edited) I wonder why RCB gets all the hype....the had everything in their favor last season.....the knockouts and finals at their home ground...a supposedly great batting line up...all the right backers.....a great comeback story...still felt short. I mean I could just tell by the body language when they took to the field on the finals that they had an uphill task...they almost looked scared to play SRH bowling. People said I was being bravado etc...claiming such things.....If you use some cricketing sense, You can always tell which team will turn up just by watching the body language during the toss...even during minnow games.....there is a spring and a swagger in the side that is going to win...RCB seriously lacks that...Hope Kohli improves that this season as this would bode well for India in the future. I think sometimes RCB will do much better if they had a young Indian squad with some decent overseas players than over hyped superstars. Edited February 3, 2017 by maniac
