These 2 IPL team owners have a horrible attitude.

Munaf  of  2006  had the ability to make deliveries rear up steeply  from just short of good length, at genuine pace, with seam movement and had an excellent yorker too.

A rare combination to have.

What went wrong?Just injuries or someone advised him to slow down

Wasnt the same bowler even in 2007 WC IIRC

Yes, and also Eric simmons, the then bowling coach of India in 2011 world cup called  Munaf the unsung hero of India's world cup victory. He said his performances went unnoticed among all other brilliant performances.

Na you guys like him a lot.

Even TNPL would have been someone elses idea and since he was president, he got all the credit.

I like him ? :cantstop:

Search ICF for my comments on Srini(on serious threads) lol.

Regardless of that , he deserves huge credit for TNPL because that's the best thing that has happened to Tamil Nadu cricket.

Creating a franchise league isn't some scientific formula , Karnataka already had it.Making it a huge success like he did is what matters .He did not just create the league , he did everything to make it into a huge success.Production, stadiums ,commentary ,promotion everything he ensured was top quality. He deserves every bit of credit for it.

P.S.

If u don't know he is a loathsome disgusting individual in personal life as well.

Munaf  supposedly said to Shane Warne that he was actually 7 years older than his actual age.

If that statement is true, it might have been age catching up.

Many young players got caught up with the sudden money and glamour in the first few IPLs..... nowadays it is something everyone expects but, I guess, it was different in the initial years.

To top all this..... Munaf was said to be lazy and lacked work ethic.

Nathu Singh has similar qualities and,  hopefully,  he will not fade away.

Ya and for that he should be in Jail.

Only redeeming quality of srini is he is a badass and a better admin than Thakur and Manohar.

Onky in comparison

Srini actually did a lot of good for Indian cricket in general .Pretty sure he was the one who introduced pension system and also increased domestic player salaries significantly. And of course there was the big three reforms

His major problem was his blatant nepotism.

Yeah just had a look at GL team in Cricinfo.

Interesting bowling attack they have.No big name foreign seamer and quality young seamers.

Thambi, Nathu Singh and Sangwan all part of their squad .So atleast two of these should play regularly .

Don't they have Dhawal and Praveen  ?  They have picked up Munaf too.

They got the Aussies Tye and Faulkner.

They can easily play Faulkner, Sangwan Thampi/Nathu and one of the two between Munaf/Praveen as Faulkner can play as all rounder.

I have seen his interviews too...seems like he is someone who knows and understand the history of the game.....Yes he is the evil corporate villain stereotype but is good to be on his side I guess.

Dont see anything wrong in what he said.

Corporate doesnt work in emotions. Irfan pathan does live in his past .....

The only reason these players who have ended up nowere is becoz of their attitude , here we get carried away with their past but these ppl dnt and its right

If irfan had the hunger he wont have been unfit most times. As rightly he gives virat examples. Many players derive is seen in their hard work. Irfan game has dropped on every aspect.

Good he didnt get picked up, hope he gets a kick and work on himself. He can offer a lot but how long wud he live on his past laurels and potential.

Irfan is done at the international level but surely he is better than the likes of Bhatia,Henriques etc even now...Maybe as good as Binny at the moment.

My point is atleast those guys are working hard and still putting it to keep their place. Binny did increase his pace even though just a bit only . He plays domestic and stays fit unlike pathan.

At 32 if he is done in a place like India where there is dearth of all rounder and he could have walked in teams years ago and still could have.....but still he is no were.

Yes in terms of ability he is better but atleast those guys are working hard. Jadeja was always inferior in ability to this guy yet kept working hard and has become quite good.

I hope this gives him a kick and he takes his game to next level. IPL did make many cricketers lazy like Irfan, bhajji, RP
