“This has reference to the various media reports pertaining to allegations against Shami. The CoA has listened to the audio recording of a telephonic conversation which it is claimed is between Shami and his wife. The said audio recording is available in public domain. The CoA is concerned only with such portion of the said audio recording in which the person who it is claimed is Shami is heard saying another person by the name of “Mohammed Bhai” had sent money to Shami through a Pakistani lady by the name of “Alisba,” writes Rai.

It is a good move.

Shami has not provided any explanation about this pakistani girl and the money . He has been pretty detailed in countering the accusations but has not said he did not meet any one and did not take money.

It is good that he gets his name cleared by an inquiry rather than the media.

Crazy media and a crazy wife ....the inquiry is his best bet.

It should be done at the earliest , so that he can get some cricket in ipl.

Are we sure if we can say that. What if the allegations are true... at least partially....
She might actually be a victim even if she is over exaggerating some stuff done to her.

At the end of the day, however good bowler Shami is, if he is a bad person in his personal life ( i.e. a wife torturer), he does not deserve to represent India. Simple as that.

That is for the police to investigate.

She has strong laws on her side. The charges very serious. The police will have to investigate.

What if he is innocent of the abuse charges? By the time the police investigation gets over , he will be middle aged and done with cricket. That would be unfair.

Let the police do its job. If he is found guilty, he will go to jail....till then let him play.

Fair enough! Let him play until proven guilty.

My only point is that him being potentially guilty is a serious thing. The fact of his bowling ability is irrelevant when that is the case. He just does not deserve to play if that is the case.

True...but just accusations without any kind of proof should not be allowed to ruin someone. The wife has not given any proof accept for infidelity. The other alleged evidence  was of money which is being investigated.

The wife  did not say anything about serious alleged crimes like rape and attempt to murder till she found the phone with incriminating chat .

so what do you propose, if he is not found to be guilty by ACU and police are investigating other allegations for next 5 years even then he should not be allowed to play since the allegations are a serious thing, and any one with a serious thing should not be allowed to play for India obviously because of the seriousness of the serious thing ? :p:

Good thing, if he's cleared. I think he just lied to his wife about getting money just make it look like a business deal.  Lessons to learn from this episode..

2. Don't marry some floozy cheerleader who has married a shopkeeper in 10th grade!

3. Don't keep WA / FB chats on your phone hanging. Delete karo

4. Have a password that is difficult to crack.

And above all

1. Don't cheat on your wife even if she is as per 1.

You  did not seem to have ready my next post. I am saying that it is fair that he is allowed to play until proven guilty. But we are assuming that he is not guilty. That is alright until there is no evidence that can prove those allegations made by his wife. Let his career be not at stake assuming he is really innocent and it is only his crazy wife who wants to make all these allegations for popularity/alimony or whatever.

My point is what if it is otherwise. In sometime if he is proven guilty, then that is serious. Let us know allow our love for Shami the bowler to cloud our judgement of the person if he is guilty of some serious crime. He just does not deserve to play in that case.

dude thats judicial prudence, innocent until proven guilty, cant change that. Imagine if someone accuses you of steeling eggs from the chicken farm next to your house, you will be disallowed from eating eggs till proven otherwise..dude that will be wrong.

Hell hath no fury like a women scorned, she was married previously and has two kids, she looks shady n a gold digger also was a small time model or cheer leader im told, a lot of what she is saying might be false, she is making all those sick allegations and then saying m ready for him if he comes back to me, doesnt seem right, Shami might be guilty of some indescretions or has a roving eye but you cannit hang one for that.

You think scorned men don't take revenge.

Acid attacks, shooting, stabbing , getting the women gang raped, revenge porn ...what are these?

A few days back , a scorned man chopped of a girl's head  with an axe. She was walking around when he struck her from the back. One moment she was alive and the next moment , her head was on the ground. Poor girl did not even see it coming .:((

Hell hath no fury like a person scorned.

Frankly , I don't think it is even true in most cases. Most scorned people( irrespective of gender) go about their life the way they can. Some get depressed, some cry their heart out and then get on with life , some take it in good spirit , some kill themselves....

Similarly, some scorned psychopaths take revenge.

Hell hath no fury like a psychopath scorned .

Beetleji calm down, women and men are made a bit different, yes most crimes are done by men n its sad to see violence against women, Women have a memory like an elephant, never talk to them about past live lol, she looks like a scornful, attention seeker, not to say Shami is innocent but to go about in media and proclaim all the **** n then say i am willing to take him back shows everything might not be true, she is scornful as he had an affair.
