We keep recycling old TTF's like Raydu, Raina, Jadhav & to top it all Akshar Patel who is neither a bowler or a batsman, how on earth we will win with these set of players ??

This is with reference of Asia Cup Selection. Bowling I don't believe is a problem. Bowlers keep batsman to mostly reachable score but with these set of batsman i can't see us wining 2019 worldcup.

Agree with everything in your op regarding batsmen but bowling is a problem for India in general. We don't have a genuine wicket taker in our side apart from Bumrah.

Bhuvi is a economical bowler and not a wicket taker.

Same with Chahal, teams now just milk him for singles and doesn't give him wickets initially and loses the plot when he gets attacked.

Kuldeep has potential and will get better and better with experience. He may prove to be a match winning bowler for us in the coming world cup as far as he continues to work on his bowling.

Pandya is still a nobody as far as his bowling is concerned and is definite weak link that other teams target.

Main problem is we haven't created any back ups in case of any injury to our frontline bowlers. This Asia cup was perfect opportunity to test young brigade. Only deserving young bowler to make into the team is Khaleel, Likes of Saini, Mavi, Gopal/Sundar washington should have been in the team. Bumrah and bhuvi should have been rested. We wasted these spots on Shardul and Axar. Shardul should be nowhere near to this team. Same with Axar Patel.

Bhuvi is a wicket taker in all three formats.

Our problem is selection and batting. Merry go Round selection is on. Same set of players are allways in queue

I m not sure why so much of affinity for bhuvi for his economical bowling. How come a bowler average more than 33 in ODI can be hailed so much. He is very much condition dependent bowlers he was definitely missed during English test series but he is not at all a good odi bowler , pretty average to be honest.

In test cricket Bhuvi is a wicket taker. But in ODI' s he is not. 90 wickets in 86 innings, average of 39 and strike rate of 46.5 proves that. Its like one wicket per match.

For someone who is a frontline bowler these stats are pathetic. We could have carry on with him 10-15 years back but now we have many options that we can try. He is a hard worker and gives his 100 % on the field.  But that 100 percent is not proving to be enough especially when your fifth bowler is Hardik Pandya who marginalise the economical bowling of Bhuvi.

Yes in ODI he is not wicket taker, but he is one of the best death bowlers along with bumrah. So we cant replace him yet

A team can afford economical bowler if other bowlers can get you wickets. But if you are not getting wickets upfront and opposition has wickets in hand at the end then even the best can go for runs no matter how good you are. And moreover it puts pressure on other bowlers to take wickets. Its almost like same as Dhoni making runs but as usual at his low strike rate and depends on the other batsmen to score quick runs.

With two new ball from both end its getting difficult to take wickets as white ball dont swing

So you want Bhuvi just because of his death bowling. Lets agree to disagree then because I like bowlers who can take wickets and put pressure on opposition not by being economical but by getting their batsmen's wickets.
