I think this was about  3- 4 years back. 

 

Virat is a winner. There is no doubt about it imo. I don't think he will ever show a lot of bias because he will lose matches if he packs team with RCB players and he certainly wont let team lose by picking those sort. When he says RCB depends on 3 players, out of which 2 are overseas stars, there is no way he will fit the RCB non performers in the Indian 11. At the most i see Virat, Chahal and Kedar in the Indian team right now.

Actually there were many names in that 6th position... Mukund, Sudip Tyagi, Mohit Sharma, Ishwar Pandey.

Am not mentioning the names of Badrinath and Saha coz they deserved it on merit and I feel they got lesser chances than they should have.

There were two really blatant conflict of interests

 

1srini using veto power to save dhoni after selectors wanted him sacked.

 

2 players who signed to dhoni's friends talent agency, of which dhoni had a share, started getting selected. Freaking R P Singh made it back to the team.

His test captaincy was good enough. Our home season domination the last couple of years is unprecedented and Kohli should be given due credit for his good captaincy in quite a few of those matches.

Yup, remember that controversy regarding player management agency being linked to Dhoni. It will be tough to replace him with equally capable batsman and keeper. Dhoni imo was a excellent player who has served us well, but the CSK betting scandal and the player management agency has hurt his reputation.

Look at what all he did to somehow accomodate that fool Rohit in the test team. And I think Dhawan was preferred over Vijay as well at some point in WI. Ishant Sharma is an old friend from Delhi days and keeps finding a place over poor Bhuvi.

Dhoni has been aroubd longer as a captain so you have more names.

KL Rahul would be 4th. Virat, Chahal, Kedar and Rahul. So i would not call it as bias. Those 4 deserve to be in Team India on form basis. Not sure Aniket C will get even in the squad.  Playing 11 is too far.

Agree about Bhuvi for test squad. Murali Vijay had finger injury, didn't he. Rohit was a bad selection though.

Being biased is ok,if you can get the job done...I mean trusting that someone will win you games and backing him with bias is different from being biased and playing someone at the expense of losing games or even worse being biased and getting rid of someone or holding someone down even when they are doing well...case in point Sreeshanth,Yadav etc.

which csk player was in team not based on performance.

I mean we all heard the criticism of MS Dhoni for supporting CSK boys and how he does not back younger players.

 

But lets talk about Kohli now.

 

A) Brought back a 35 year old Yuvraj Singh when there are many better younger prospects available in the country.

 

B) Rohit Sharma was constantly given chance in test format when clearly he is not meant for test cricket. Infact, he even dropped Pujara once to accomodate Rohit.

 

C) Rumours are he has voiced for the inclusion of his fellow Delhite 37 year old Ashish Nehra in ODI team. This IPL clearly shows that we have young talent like Thampi, Shardul, Nathu Singh etc. But he still fancy Nehra.

 

Surely there is a bias somewhere?
