Honest and non biased reply only: Do you think Kohli is biased as a skipper?

I mean we all heard the criticism of MS Dhoni for supporting CSK boys and how he does not back younger players.

But lets talk about Kohli now.

A) Brought back a 35 year old Yuvraj Singh when there are many better younger prospects available in the country.

B) Rohit Sharma was constantly given chance in test format when clearly he is not meant for test cricket. Infact, he even dropped Pujara once to accomodate Rohit.

C) Rumours are he has voiced for the inclusion of his fellow Delhite 37 year old Ashish Nehra in ODI team. This IPL clearly shows that we have young talent like Thampi, Shardul, Nathu Singh etc. But he still fancy Nehra.

Surely there is a bias somewhere?

Yuvraj and Rahane should not be anywhere India's shorter format squads. Nehra shouldn't be around as well. Rohit should stick to being an opener in shorter formats just like Rahane should stick only to Tests.

A) Agreed

B) Pujara was rightly dropped but Rohit was a wrong replacement.

C) Rumours are meant to be rumours.

Having set of favourites is not the problem. To give them a very long rope is. Kohli haven't dropped Pujara ever since his comeback and speaks highly of him. You won't see Kohli dropping Pujara for Rohit now unless Pujara again goes out of form for a substantial period of time.

Kohli is following perform or perish mantra at the moment in tests. Although his obsession with Sharma is cringeworthy.Let's see if he brings back Rohit into tests.

There is nothing bias, every captain has his set of player whom he trust most .

yes he he tried them but chucked all of them to once they failed quickly......so were is his bias hurting the team

No, he dopped Dhawan, if he was biased he would have picked Dhawan every time.

This is huge blame on any player to tell him he is biased.

He is a pro and pro wants to win for his country any time and every time and i am sure Kohli wants it badly like anyone snd he knows he will pivk thr one who he thinks performs the best and not by showing any bias.

My only post in this thread.

Rohit averaged 50 in tests this past year and made match turning contribution vs NZ in difficult  conditions

Yuvraj made match winning contributions in both ODI and t20 series vs England and has improved his batting recently

kohli's decisions have thus far been vindicated

Only if he persists with players after long term underperformance can you accuse him

chepu did have a go slow issue in tests as did Vijay- it was an important point to address- as is throwing ur wicket away needlessley

Don't think he is biased but he is nuts he just keeps changing his squad one second he will play Gayle next match he will drop Gayle and play  ABD I only wish I can understand how his brain works

He may be biased like all human beings. But as someone rightly pointed out, no conflict of interest so far which is good news. Also his pride in leading India will make sure he sheds the bias and builds a champion side. You see MSD was not only biased but also had no pride in him. 0-8, 0-10, 0-12, home series loss....nothing affected him because he never cared. So he kept on continuing his biased selection policies...Kohli won't do that because he truly believes he is destined to lead this side into ATG status. If he doesn't select the best XI, he won't be able to do that. Simple.

At one point there were 6 CSK players in Indian team. Haven't seen 6 RCB players in Indian team yet. Infact only Virat, Chahal and Kedar are in Indian team and i think they are due to their performance. So definitely not biased imo.

Those 5 are still playing today i guess ?
