Yes, that was a Golden opportunity, Pak played good and deserved more to win then... Here in last hour I felt this might end into something similar...

This was a particularly weak WI team (Vishaul Singh LOL) even by their standards but they did cause upset in the second match. Nice farewell to give to your two stalwarts

Although, it was funny to mock them for not winning a cricket series in WI, they have their monkey off their backs. Congratulations on a stupendous success. If only WI had survived a few more overs for a draw!

Hetmyer, Hope, Singh ..... joke of a batting  order.... the Indian team that won 2-0 a few months ago was against a  lot better team with Bravo, M.Samuels &  Blakewood  (players with proven record)  in it.Even then there was every chance of a 4-0 white wash which was denied by  100 overs lost in that drawn 2nd test  & completely washed out 4rth test.What not the situations IND team found  themselves on several occasions

were far more critical  with IND middle-lower order coming into the rescue act with come from behind partnerships.PAK team lost a test to this 3rd rate  WI team.It is my gut belief that had toss didn't go with PAK in the last test & that they were to chase last, they would even have lost that test & series itself.Despite  all the luck going their way , there was every chance that  PAK would not have won the series had that last wkt WI pair got a little bit more careful. Yet it is frustrating to see  the chest pumping of some  PAK  fans in parosi  passion sites  in the lines as to Yasir won over Ashwin etc etc .

Nevertheless, a first is a first . Congratulations for that.

I feel Pakistan was the most under-performing team in 90s... they should have won a lot more if not for match fixing.

That is a misconception. I think it was a problem of not having the belly for fight. Post Wright era, India did much better than them even with inferior bowlers.

The guys you mentioned were dropped by the westindies because they werent performing .

Also westindies won the toss in the final game not Pakistan and india drew not because of the rain but because of being unable to take more than a wicket on the final day infact westindies were building a lead in that game much like they did against pakistan in the 2nd test  .

Stop comparing and move on .

It was your country people who got insecure first by degrading Ashwin just because Yasir took a heap of wickets.Was it necessary to drag Ashwin into this? Not clear about the reasons the 3 players i mentioned were not playing, but it is a fact that they were all experienced with avg:s in the range 30-40s  & naturally would have been more worthy than these average new comers.And yes these 3 new comers Hetmyer,Hope & Singh indeed proved to be average by the time series ended.Whether Windies won the toss or  not is the main factor( If they

won the toss , I would say they wasted a golden oppertunity because then  PAK would have been chasing last with the added pressure of still seeking a first series win in Windies & also with the bitter experience of badly collapsing in the immediate previous test), PAK didn't need 4rth

inns chase is the main factor.

 

W.R.T India series just go thru the score card .Over 100 overs were lost due to rain.Just a single wicket at that time was required to  make the last inns chase with in '150-200 limit at the most'.There was every chance of an Indian win  had the play was uninterrupted due to rain.

 

Once again it is your country people who instigates this unnecessary chest pumping against India for each and every little gain.And when Indians responds you people blame if as a matter of being insecure.
