Don't understand why the apology .  They lost to India not Ireland......Both the teams are competitive and very equivalent - there were no favorites.......... Don't see the Kiwi skipper apologizing after BD loss.....

Point was doing it more than once or twice. I agree Dhoni need not have to do it either, might be because in those days he use to suffer at the hands of some crazy pyschos who would burn effigies and throw stones at players homes n all. I am glad we are past those days, I hope.

This. Everyone knows he is a legend and gives it all.

 

Those who call RSA choker and stuff also know that ABD is a champion and south africa is a top side. ABD doesn't have to apologize every time his team loses. He is always trying to give his best and is always a threat to the opposition and always gives his all to make sure his country wins. 

 

Him apologizing to people after defeat shows he is thinking too much while captaining. A captain shouldn't  be doing that everytime. Once in a while is all right to keep his fans happy.

 

Top player and a legend who needs to change his attitude while captaining and how he reacts to defeats.
