I just said he is our next Dhoni. Good...assuming you are on the younger side...good to see your generation evolve into admiring great players for what they are without bias rather than throwing every 2 bit cricketer in to prove a point as to how the previous greats of the game from India were not good enough. Good for you....That's more social progress in that one post than the last 70 years,so if I were you I would leave it at that than to throw it away...let us see. Edited June 23, 2017 by maniac

Pollack Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 If you open this in parosi forum it would have been great. But here after CT loss this random comparison of a player with Pakistan comes across an attempt to hide butt hurt from loss. Maybe you are affected a lot. Others have completely moved on. ... .... ..... BTW Dhoni

Gambit Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 Dhoni was remarkable: batting at all XI positions, bowling 20/50 overs and fielding in all areas to win these all by himself. My favourite moment was when Dhoni was bowling badly against England in the CT final, Dhoni decided to give Dhoni another go and it came off, with good catches by Dhoni at point and Dhoni at mid on. Reminded me of the 2007 final when Dhoni gave the ball to a rookie slow medium bowler Dhoni, who Misbah scooped only to get caught by Dhoni at short fine-leg. Fantastic performance! Close second was the high quality partnership between Dhoni and Dhoni in the 2011 WC final. Pity Dhoni got out on 97, but Dhoni and Dhoni finished it off as they had done many times over the last 10 years. Finally, Dhoni and Dhoni carrying Dhoni on their shoulders brought a tear to many fans' eyes. SK_IH, Lord, King Tendulkar and 3 others 6

bones Posted June 23, 2017 Posted June 23, 2017 What's with India and to a lesser extend Pakistan's obsession with limited overs cricket? Until either of these sides tours and wins in Australia you can't really brag about much. I know it's difficult for Indians and Pakistanis to contemplate this, but ODIs and T20 are low skilled matches full of garbage. In India especially, ordinary batsmen are glorified because of their feats on the flat tracks served up everywhere. Adi_91 1
