What ideas do you want him to apply in RCB? RCB was a batting flop this year. Bowling did good. He ran out of options in batting. Tried everyone but no one seem to do job. What else he can do in selections. The only point you can make against him is not giving chance to Avesh but then Avesh doesn't play a lot for state as well. But frankly their bowling did good overall this year. However not implying he is tactically astute.

But frankly their bowling did good overall this year. However not implying he is tactically astute. firstly most of them changes were because of injuries but on RCB n IPL : i compare him to someone like rohit ,he had a plan and made team accordingly to win ipl,he couldve opened but he didnt made optimum use of players like parthiv, nitish where as virat opened himself wasted fit resources like kedar and obviously relied on experience like gayle, watson everytime like he likes to do and failed continuosly. Rohit is no tactical genius but he is better captain than kohli i have no doubt as far as bowling is concerned thats where cluelessness comes in,he continuously gave overs to badree agnst narine and then looked shocked after hammering,i dont know what he saw in aravind but he continuously played him ahead of chaudhary who bowled well in latter games, obviously because aravind was more experience i mean i can go on amd on,virat relied on watson to bowl last overs multiple times,he got hammered all the times,he still bowled him sscomp32 and Singh bling 2
jusarrived Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Are you guys blaming the squad being picked for WI on Dhoni or just the paying 11 ? Just to be sure Rasgulla and sscomp32 2
SK_IH Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 His captaincy failures are many in ipl, many people here dont take ipl seriously but virat has been captain all these years what has he achieved and what team has he built, relying on gayle,ab,watson and obviously yuvi for a year someone like warner has outcaptained him all these years Rasgulla and sscomp32 2

That's just criminal and may have ruined vjs career who was really peaking at that point have done all the hard work on tough tours . It's not about one or 10 games , the fact that he could even think that rohit could replace vj makes me not trust him . Either he is dumb or got an agenda , both not good . You have forgotten the circumstances in which that happened. Vijay injured himself in a test and had to miss the next. In the meantime, Dhawan scored a 84 and Rahul scored a 150+. Vijay was not freshly dropped from that test. He was not included after becoming fit as the 2 existing openers had both performed in the meantime. While I myself, had wanted Vijay to replace Dhawan, if a captain feels that a performer needs to continue, it cannot be called an agenda. In fact, Vijay is the one with Bunty Sajdeh, so it would seem that Kohli should have supported him. Quote Same case with pujara . Pujara had been poor in 4 outside Asia test series....even in that test series against WI, he was not scring runs and there was a lot of clamour among the fans to drop him. It was hardly a surprise. I just oppose the inclusion of Rohit in test matches and not dropping Pujara in that series. Quote Well we haven't played overseas yet , isn't that all what matters for some of you ? So we have done jack under him beating some really weak teams at home . Dominant and continuous wins in home test series definitely matter to me, especially when most of those wins were on flat surfaces ( barring the 2nd test match against Australia and 4th test against England which were on turning tracks ). We even defeated Australia on a bouncy track in Dharamshala and a defeated NZ on a green track in Kolkata in test matches. What weak teams !! We defeated England, Australia, South Africa and NZ too... basically all good test teams. Quote It doesn't matter what some here in icf think , the point is he was reluctant to pick a young talent. Now tell me what are these brilliant selections hes done with dhoni not around ? Correcting his own stupid mistakes don't count Which new face have we seen in the test team lately ? We have seen new names like Jayant Yadav and Karun Nair in test matches. But, it is not just a question of choosing new players.....most of the time he selected the right players in test matches...one or two wrong selections on occasions will happen even if you or I were the captain. His aggressiveness as a test captain was to go with 5 bowlers on more occasions than not with a purpose of taking 20 wickets. Edited July 1, 2017 by express bowling Laaloo, sscomp32 and Mosher 2 1
SK_IH Posted July 1, 2017 Posted July 1, 2017 Quote What weak teams !! We defeated England, Australia, South Africa and NZ too... basically all good test teams. apart from sa ,all other teams were those agnst whom a loss would been upset eng we really enjoyed beating them finally after all those losses under dhoni but you have to admit it was a overhyped side who came in on back of 2-2 result at home vs pak and a test loss vs bangladesh aus we shouldve crushed, ironically they gave good fight

I am NOT talking about any conspiracy theory. Most people seem to agree that Dhoni is taking a lot of on-field decisions in LOIs. I am talking about the perils of split-leadership..... you often end up losing the plus points of both leaders and a conservative result ensues. Dhoni is obviosly trying to help out Kohli and I don't blame him for that. But, there must be one leader who is taking the final decisions. Kohli as a captain has his pluses and minuses.....same with Dhoni. Split leadership often leads to a middle-path where the pluses of both leaders are pushed to the background. He has performed really well as a captain so far in terms of SERIES RESULTS. Only failure is CT final. All those nitpicked issues do not matter much as long as results are coming. The ideal approach is to analyze both pluses and minuses. sscomp32 1

So playing Rahane, Yuvi for more matches on a trot are opposite of changes. 2)Yes.He makes very few changes in ODIs. 3) Possible especially not playing Pant due to dhoni. Though for Yuvi he may be just showing friendship. sscomp32 1

Don't be mad cause Virat can't replicate the same. They didn't get an autograph so they ll cry a river online Atleast you guys stay together... That's not the case here... Real hypocrites here LOL We all know Virat is crap LOI captain.. there is is a reason RCB doesn't win anything despite having World's Best players like Gayle Kohli ABD Starc yuvi.. Last year Rahul Kedar Chahal and many more.. Losers blame Dhoni is the reason for ODI team being the same when kohli is part of corner stone (Player management company ) run by bunty sajdeh who is also very good friend of Virat kohli.. So this Bunty sajdeh's sister is married Rohit sharma. That's why he gets special treatment and Gets to play test matches Over players like Pujara and vijay who were dropped for this guy LOL Rahane is also part of cornerstone and now getting to Yuvi... I believe he is a partner of Cornorstone... I don't see. Reason why 35 year old would come back to ODI team who was no where to be seen under Dhoni... So its Obvious he got his back and I am sure you heard about news between Kumble-Kohli.. Kumble wanted Kuldeep but he never got his debut under Virat... He was injured for one match and Rahane was given captaincy then kuldeep got to play and Did too well to be dropped. But but Dhoni is the reason coming from people with an agenda LOL is too funny Edited July 1, 2017 by Rasgulla Shaz1 1
