Reminds of my cousin who was freinds with David Johnson , telling me about Dodda Ganesh and some other bowler I cant recollect bowling poorly for 5000 rs . let laxman get a 300 I think in the semis . Not saying VVS needed the bowlers help , but to throw a ranji semis for 5k ..how bad was it back then ? ( Assuming my source was not lying )

( Assuming my source was not lying ) Could have happened but dodda Ganesh in all probability would have bowled poorly to LAX in such imperious touch anyway unless the pitch was extremely helpful to him. Laxman infact played two of his majestic knocks in the same time frame of early 2000 to 2001 March

vishalvirsingh Posted November 28, 2017 Posted November 28, 2017 i was a fast bowler when i was 19 to 25 but now when i am 45, i am a SOLID Opening batsman for my Corporate team and Hence I dont talk about Batsman at all... batsman get patta wickets and so if they score 200 or 300 or 350 on indian pitches , i dont get excited at all. My team Pace bowlers bowl with pace only for first 3 overs...bcos of patta wickets ,pacers become Chuckers. i just dont talk about Batsman MUCH as I dont get excited by big scores by indian batsman on INDIAN Patta's- it counts for nothing.
