The question is whether Jadhav is good enough till 2019 WC   ?

The question is has he done so bad that he shud be dropped- No

As much as i dnt see jadhav fitting 2019 plans , he has done well in given chances and it wnt be right to drop him

Nothing against Jadhav , but hes choked everytime under pressure . The one knock where he played brilliantly with Virat, did everything right till the point he played a stupid shot and got out and India lost eventually . Hes a good player when we bat first and does most things Raina would do for us , but its when chasing Raina is special .

Jadhav should not bat at No.4 or No.5, he is not good there  .... he is ideal at No.6

Everyone but Pandya failed in the CT final.... apart from that, he is good while chasing

Jadhav's  innings while chasing batting at No.6

Today again , Jadhav is batting at No.5 and it is not the ideal slot for him.

No, he is good for no.5 and 6, not higher than that. He needs to come in when 20 overs or so are left.

His shot selection can be bizzarre at time. When it comes off it is good. But it carries some risk.  There is something unconventional about his approach.

He plays some bizarre shots, because he tries to play where there are gaps. For eg. if a bowler bowls wide on offside with an offside heavy field he still hits it unconventionally into the gap on legside.

There is no way his gameplay is risky if he has been able to maintain an average of 50 with 108 SR in List A over a number of years. The only player to be able to do so.

Jadhav proving me Wrong today..After initial struggle he is playing beautifully ..Anyways not against him..All good for indian cricket but raina has lot more cricket left.

Raina can get in the squad in the place of Rahane.

Rahane may be rested

Then Let Raina earn his place back by perfomance

To be honest, Raina has his short comings against spin, swing and bounce. His main strengths are hitting ability, playing well under pressure(finishing job), running between wickets and fielding. But he has some flaws in technique. Nothing wrong with looking for alternatives who could bat better than him in different conditions and against different attacks.

Also, Raina went through a bad patch of form and had put on weight and stopped working on his fitness( he had failed a fitness test which even Ashwin and Kedhar had passed :p: ), so it was natural that he was dropped. If he works hard on his fitness and does well in FC, he could have a shot at coming back.

Raina keeps posting pics of him gyming and about fitness and then  he goes and fails the yo yo test.

That makes one wonder about his seriousness about getting match fit for international level.

Raina is acting like Umar akmal these days

About his seriousness - his own coach questioned it so that shud be taken seriously

How can any team accommodate such a poor fielder cum catcher? Never seen anything like this for many years now, he is worse than the worst Pak fielders.

Chalo Even if jadhav is better ,raina still deserves to be in squad of 15.
What the likes of rahane has to offer in Odi/T-20 cricket anyway..
Already hv 3 openers in rahul/rohit/dhawan and even Manish can open.

If we lack finishers why we select 4th opener in the squad?
