In home series they hardly announce a backup keeper. Pant cud have been there in place of rahane but seems like team mngmt has no faith in pant and all the faith in rahane

 

Umesh in Odi is not a good selection, shardul shud have been persisted with

Good team except for Umesh in odis. Rahane couldn't be dropped, after the WI series, whether we like it or not.

Yadav should have been given more rest before ranji trophy and I feel he should be considered for test matches only. Same for Shami because of fitness concerns .

 

With so much cricket going on we should try and create a pool of bowlers for different formats so that we can manage their workload.

Not necessarily as a keeper ..... but play a batsman who can keep too and can don the gloves in case of injury.  Pant would have been ideal.

Got the feeling that Shardul has disappointed our team management  ..... because we played only 2 pacers in the T20.   Pandya was not replaced by Shardul.  We do not play 3 spinners often.

Shardul being dropped after only a few games is unfair. He should have got more opportunities. Umesh should have been rested. Shami too should be rested after the 3rd ODI. Hopefully Shardul will be back for the remaining 2 ODI's. Pant should have been in the team.

U cant become a better bowler by just resting , 

Akram always says in his interviews the more u bowl the more stronger ur body gets 

 

Shami is a very good ODI bowler and why wudnt u want him against a top team like Australia

I think the team t20 selection was right, u play ur best bowler and bhuvi, bumrah, chahal, kuldeep are our best t20 bowler so there was no space

About team mngmt faith in shardul, i dnt think there is an issue he came in as replacement only. Now if they want their main bowler back the replacement will have to go back .

Umesh is not a "main ODI bowler. "

 

Look at Axar and Chahal.  They impressed and " main bowler " Jadeja does not come back.
