my point is there is no such thing as playing with fear that middle order is no good, they dont have to so magnanimous and dont be ultra defensive upfront

They did not fail in CT finals or World cup semis by being ultra defensive, they just got out it happens in cricket.

If there was any middle order they had enough time to make those matches competitive but they folded like cheap tents too that is point. Jadhav scored hundred but Kohli was there every step. Only Yuvi and Dhoni's hundreds came when top order failed but that was just a random odi they are way past their time.

They are defensive at that start due extra responsibility, Sehwag blasted from ball one as he knew India had a middle order which could absorb his early loss.

Rohit takes his time at that start and Dhawan can blast from ball one that is why they make such a good opening pair.

He is the biggest FTB in the history of FTBs.

Who cares, not that FTb are bad. Ftbs win you a lot of matches which sometimes top players with great technique can’t.

Here is your end to not recognizing the achievement.

Before we call people FTB and stuff which is kind of a curse in cricket now,  look at the amazing achievement. I am not a crazy Rohit fan, but if one can’t appreciate Rohit’s knock, not once but 3 doubles now, then there is surely something wrong in the opinion.

that doesnt happen all the time,if it happens all the time, it would be great ,dhawan has to play freely no caution needed

Rohit's issue is always the concentration and eliminating risk.If he can overcome that little bit he will make a mighty no6 even in SA.If it is swinging/seaming there is no indian batsmen who are guaranteed to succeed.

99% of ODIs are played on flat tracks. Don't see why people have a problem with flat tracks. When was the last time we got a odi pitch like this? 2002 in NZ where sehwag scored a lot before the WC?

The hate Rohit gets here is bizzare . Yes not turned in to awesome all format player . But still brilliant batsman who had done amazing stuff with white ball cricket

true star we should cherish and boast about instead of pathetic snipes constantly

you should be last person pontificating about this :giggle:

Amazing ODI batsman, its a bit more more possible to hit 200 than during Sachins first 200 to be honest. But its not easy to score this many, else we will see others do it often, he is the only one hitting 200 often.

They are not robots, who are programmed to do things exactly the same way, there will be days when Dhawan is slow.I don't they think have given any reason for anyone to complain. They are one of the best opening pairs in history given their amazing consistency.

Thing is that this wasn’t even that much flat compared to tracks we usually see.

Can he score 300 in an ODI, if everything falls in right place, I don't think him scoring 300 is far fetched idea for player like him.

If all things break well and he has fast start , I can see him scoring 300.His ability to hit sixes in just amazing.
