Does he know 2 words in Tamil? Why are Tamils such gullible emotional fools to be taken for a ride by this asshole? Do they lack idols/superstars of their own that they always try to appropriate this shrewd businessman and beg for his 2 minutes of attention? Last question is rhetorical, so don't bother answering.

Unlike some scums from other states..

ya right go Chennai and get an auto. See how you get ripped off. Even though people know English or hindi they dont talk they want to make it miserable for others.

Again the language card. lol go to mumbai and take a taxi see if you get ripped off or not.. if you judge a state based on the lowest denominator thats your problem. and if someone know hindi in Chennai they will talk, this is a myth they will do so proudly, not many know its not a priority to learn Hindi, as is not a priority for folks in Patna to learn Tamil or Kannada. besides with the amount of folks from Bihar/UP in Chennai pretty soon you will get hinid speaking Auto drivers, would it be a 'dashing' state after that ?

Yes as a common man you need to see how accommodating a state can they at least understand take you from one place to another. There is no need to compare film stars. Because someone is providing voice for them in the background.

Tamili people are weird. They love their language and also want people to speak in Tamil. But their actors like Rajini, kushboo are super stars for them and now dhoni.

how are those two things related or relevant for eachother ?

Who hands superstar titles ? its often self assumed via media proxies.

How come accepting folks from other cultures in public sphere be weird, its an admirable trait. Tamils seem to like projecting their culture and accept folks from other cultures purely on their merits. This shows a mature sub nationality if anything.

People in Chennai have to be the nicest people in the world. Paying so much money to a non performer is surely an act of generosity.Go away Dhoni.

Tamils have enough heroes in their state. Anand recently won a rapid world title and was given a better reception in Mumbai than Chennai. Ashwin, Vijay too don't get the fanfare they deserve. Rajnikanth, MGR, Jayalalitha, Vijayakanth all outsiders treated like royalty in TN when TN has great talent within its borders. What has happened to the mighty Tamil race, why stoop before the outsiders? It is good to respect outsiders but this craze is getting creepy. I expect better from the most ancient and richest surviving civilization in the sub continent.

You may not have heard it but we are famous for " Vandarai Vazhaveikum Thamizhagam" .It's also part of our rich ancient culture.

Also you can pack it in your Dhoni hate by applying to the Tamil Nationalists.

Now you can but 10-15 years it was very tough.

I don't know what that means. I am not against treating outsiders well, I am against prostrating before outsiders. Anand is a great legend of TN but he has always been given better reception after winning world titles in other states. In Kolkata once (I think 2012) entire Mamata cabinet gave him a traditional Bengali welcome in Dum Dum and got a grand reception thrown in his honour attended by Tolywood stars and Bengal intelligentsia. Now compare that to Chennai's treatment to a guy like Vishy viz a viz Dhoni, FFS even Ashwin has such less following in his home state. Tamils have the finest modern day Indian actor in Kamal Hasan yet have accepted a buffoon like Rajnikanth as their no 1. MGR, Jayalalitha both outsiders, doesn't the state have zero talent within? Tamil (and to a lesser extent Telegu) film industry outsources actress role to Northies, why this submission before other cultures?

More to do with chess not being a mass sport/game in the country. Kalam has been revered by one and all, and even more after he became the president.

Those csk fans who are so high on dhoni just do one thing go on a goenka way and drop him from captaincy make some one like ashwin or raina as a captain, two things will happen your performance and bowling will improve and you wll see the real face of dhoni, an ultimate opportunist ready to conceal his talons seeking his opportunity to screw you guys.

Kalam should be the poster boy of TN but unfortunately Rajni is...correct me if I am wrong

Showbiz has taken the front seat unfortunately, yes. But people are aware nowadays.

Kalam and Vishy Anand should be on every poster, billboard of Chennai as the biggest icons but people are more hysterical about Rajnikanth and movie actors or even someone like Dhoni for some bizzare reason.

Both Rajni and Dhoni seem to be good role models at a national level but then again Anand and Kalam it doesn’t get bigger than that...However it  almost seems like they get more adulation outside of TN

but you are right we are obsessed  with the frauds from showbiz...trust me being from Andhra I know a thing or 2 about that.
