There is no such training. Only thing they can do is to find better water absorbers.

If the surface doesn't grip he will be a cannon fodder like all leggies. Leggies depend more on the dry surface than finger spinners. 

If the ball doesn't grip enough they will just have the turn there won't be bounce that will make the batsman mistime.

This is why i was not critical of Ashwin learning leg spin. If you can bowl both you can adapt easily. That is how cricket will be 10 or 20 years from now. May be even wicket keeper will be a specialst bowler and a batsman specialist keeper.

Wow thanks for the very early forecast. I won't bother buying any tickets. Truth is we don't have a time of year that is always wet and one that is always dry. Anything can happen at any time of year. It all depends where the jet stream is placed, and that can change every week.

for example our tour this summer won't have much rain as matches are in late July, August and September

How would that help? You don't know how easy or difficult it is for the batsman to play such balls. Batsman at nets always tend to hit the ball in the air coz there are no fielders.

Thanks to you too for your forecast for mid-late summer. Why aren't the Met Office recruiting their staff from this forum.? Very glad I bought a lot of tickets for the series now and look forward to a lot of dry days at the cricket.

 

By the way the county season starts in 7 weeks but we're still stuck in sub zero temperatures and spring is nowhere in sight. Can anyone tell me if spring will arrive by April 13th?.
