Even if he cheated on his wife, why does his contract need to be held up. Ridiculous

The more serious allegation is of spousal abuse.

Not getting in the whole obvious “innocent till proven guilty argument” but fortunately or unfortunately that has been the trend in the last year or so with the whole #metoo movement

it is poor from BCCI to leave Shami out from the contract just based on allegations.  Those allegations have nothing to do with cricket.

its  *ing nonsense and that too for a committee appointed by the supreme court, they have no right to codemn somebody who has done nothing wrong.

No Shami and Rahul getting well rewarded for being a tourist as are Nair and Jayant Yadav

hard to fathom someone like KLR - who deserves to be a regular in Tests and T20s (and possibly in ODIs) - being two grades below the likes of Rohit and Dhawan (who are ODI and T20 specialists in my book). Also not sure why Karthik is in B instead of C.

I don't think bumrah should be A+ either , not yet .  The test specialists should be given higher compensation , we are doing completely opposite .

I think the logic is, if you successful ODIs+T20s and also in Test team, you are A+

If successful in only in Tests or Only in LOIs - A

If NOT SO successful in only in Tests or Only in LOIs - B

If in contention for Tests/ODIs - C

If you are in all 3 teams, but have stolen the lunch of Kohli or his chelas, you are in B (like KLR).

Karun Nair gets a crore for not being in any of the national teams of any format. Compensation/Award for a 300 in tests.

This list used to be bigger before when the contracts had started. They used to include players who are in contention but have not played much like Pant, Siraj, Sundar, Shardul but now they have trimmed the number of players.

BCCI secretary, CoA trade punches over new player contracts

The BCCI's freshly unveiled player contracts face the danger of being put on hold with Amitabh Choudhary, the board's acting secretary, challenging the decision that was approved by the Supreme Court-appointed Committee of Administrators (COA). Choudhary has accused the COA of breaking the law and is now planning to approach the court for intervention on the matter.

I don't mind COA occasionally whipping up BCCI like that, but do they even know whom to trust when handing out contracts of such a high level. The contracts have all been formed by a 3-man panel headed by MSK Prasad. That speaks volume about how much thought process went into this. Not too long ago, Dhawan, he has been dropped from the team and now he suddenly became a top-level player? Kohli and his buddies sure taking the advantage of the chaos within BCCI. I dpn't really blame them.

COA did nothing wrong here. it is BCCI who were delaying the contracts since October.

The lack of critical thinking by our thick tank is mind boggling. Just mindless application of rules.

The only reason Rohit and Dhawan got A+ contract is because they are in the test squad which itself is a questionable decision. Dhawan as backup opener is ok but Rohit is an awful pretender of a test batsman.

Chances are high that these two may not have a test career in a year or two and will be downgraded.

Ashwin and Jaddu are far more all format players than those two. Don't mind them getting A category but giving A+ for these two bats looks bad.

It's not about the money but status.

Not sure Bumrah and Bhuvi have proven themselves to be given A+ but I can understand them getting being all format players.
