I dint see dhawan and raina struggle on this pitch . We are talking about a bangla bowling attack here , sorry I can't think of any state team which can't get to 170+ against this attack let alone 150 . This is not a great indian lineup , but it isn't that bad that sharma had to drop anchor for 12 overs in a 20 over match .

what was the SR of Dhawan 129 and Raina was 15 of 13 balls early on? ROhit ended up with an SR of 146 and 175 was probably the par score on that pitch.

Yeah right other than Rohit only Mushy can score a 70 from both teams. :giggle:

Even with all that aggression, Naagin had an SR of only 130.  Other than Rohit and Dhawan who got out early, only Rahul can do that but being in and out, he himself is not sure how to go about in T20, which was evident in the last game.

Rohit scored 31 in 30 balls with the benefit of the powerplay.  Raina scored 47 in 29 balls without field restrictions.

If not for Raina's selfless aggression, we would have lost today.  And it wouldn't have been close.

Yes, Rohit did "make up" towards the end, and ended up with a decent SR.   But what if he had gotten out before crossing 40?  He's not God.  He's not guaranteed to always "make it count" in the end.  His batting style makes the team gamble on him coming good at the end.  Its not a method that will work against better teams.   Heck even today, if that toyger rookie abu hider doesn't stain his chaddis and give up those 3 sixes towards the end, we probably lose the game.

Your loyalty to Brohit is commendable, but it really does make you blind.

Do you understand every player has a role to play. If not for Rohit's 89 we might not have crossed 150 today as Dhawan too got out early.

Raina, Rahul, DK all have 130+ SR. Sundar and Shankar are no mugs with the bat either. Pandey is doing well too. If 1 player had stayed with Mushi yesterday they would have easily chased down the target. No real demons in the pitch.

Apart from Rahul against SL at home, none of them have played any big innings recently. Before yesterday, Raina had one good innings since his come back. Sundar and Shankar are rookies and no one knows how will they fare with the bat under pressure. DK does not even have a 50 in T20Is yet.  They all were there in the first game and despite Dhawan's 93 of 49 balls, they could muster only 175 on a batting beauty.  It shows how dependent we are on these two openers in absence of Kohli. Rohit could take more chances in the first PP though.

Just ifs and buts, had one stayed with Mushi.  if there was no demon than how did they get out? Ifs and buts have no place in the game.

A 50 in a T20 is like a hundred in ODIs. The above mentioned players except Rahul haven't had the time to score 50s consistently.

Agree about ifs and buts but 30(31) inside the powerplay was criminal. That is putting the team on backfoot right away.

Not cos of lack of intent .Dhawan towads the end and Raina at the start when they where not getting boundries , it was Rohits job to keep the momentum on the contrary Rohit was putting pressure on them playing slowly .

Par score was 200 on that pitch

There is no role of anchor in T20s .

And for a sec if there has to be one , it can never be some one like Rohit ..how can a player who chokes under pressure , never scores when chasing , a proven FTB and extremely inconsistent can play the role of an anchor . The first requirement for an anchor is being reliable and Rohit is exactly opposite to that . Some one as consistent like Virat can anchor .

How can you be so sure? ...Rahul and Pandey both had low sr innings in one of the games....DK is famous for inconsistency and Raina has only showed glimpses of getting 20s and 30s....I know you hate Rohit but sometimes be reasonable man.

So basically every one but Rohit in the team is crap , the likes of Rahul , Pandey , DK , Raina and also the Vijay shankar , Sundar etc are so bad that they would not have lasted 20 overs ? infact its worse , cos Rohit sharma was relucatant to take risks even in the 12th over ..so these 5-6 batsmen are so bad that put together they wont last ~50 balls on this minefield of a pitch against ATG attack Bangla ?

I hate that smug face to an extent you cannot imagine , I have never ever used the word hate with an indian player , but knowing this guy will continue to screw our chances in every big tournament for next 6-8 years I cant help myslef . Nothing personal against him , infact if you go back to ~2012-13 I was one of his biggest supporters around .
