nikred
I never understood, have met several Australians abroad, most come of very assertive and confident of themselves, then why is Australia not a republic? Why do Australians still have a British Queen as Australian head of state? Even if it’s ceremonial? Is a white thing to maintain the immigrant cultural bond with motherland, UK? becuase Ireland is the only white country (commonwealth) to become republic, but of course of they didn’t have white immigrants from uk. I never knew about this until couple of months back. My cousin became an Australian citizen and she posted pics of her accepting some certificate or document related to it. In the background I saw Queens pic and was confused af.That was one of the biggest WTF things I learnt in recent times. In India I have seen lots of empty stadium's when India isn't involved. At least in Australia we get crowds even for the lesser teams. India is not a sporting nation explains India's lack of sporting achievement.

Turning_track
@HydraHow Tasmanian team performs as compared to other teams in domestic competition? I know Ponting, David boon, George Bailey, Ben hilfenhaus, James Faulkner, Tim Paine came from this place. Which other young players from Tasmania stand a chance to represent Australia in the future? maniac
OP what makes you the most reliable source to answer all things about Australia? What are your credentials? because so far it seems all you have posted is some unreliable bs? If I get curious enough, I am sure Google can be my friend. The only thing fascinating about Australia is it’s wildlife pretty much that too if you are a wildlife enthusiast and then obviously their cricketing culture resonates with me being a hardcore cricket fan....apart from that neither does Australia have a rich culture, tradition or an ancient history like most if not all Asian,European or African countries nor they have played an integral part like the USA to shape the modern history as we know it. There is nothing here that makes me say that wow!!! I am so fascinated to learn about Australia of all places lol As I said why don’t you post something interesting about Australia and maybe we can discuss but till then WTF is the point of this thread lol....Quora or even dare I say Yahoo answers are a “more reliable source”(quotes intentional) to find answers about Australia than here. Yes our PM a decade ago did say sorry to the native people for everything that was done to them. No casinos are not run by Aborigines that is the most stupid thing to do. Like I said the Aborigines (not all) waste their money on drugs, alcohol, cigarettes. The government has tried very hard to help them. A lot of their kids are addicted to glue sniffing, sexual abuse is rife in Aborigine communities, and alcohol and drug abuse is rife. Australia spends $30 billion a year on Aborigines, I think that government need to try other methods to help them. 'Sorry' apology to Stolen Generations. On February 13th, 2008, Aboriginal people across all Australia were deeply moved and in tears: The Prime Minister of Australia, Kevin Rudd, had finally apologized to the Stolen Generations and said 'sorry'. https://www.australia.gov.au/about-australia/our-country/our-people/apology-to-australias-indigenous-peoples 2 hours ago, Texy said: How come you don't type like other Ozs..makes me think u must be a transplant/immigrant to Australia? Well what would you like to know? You have to ask the questions. Australia has some on the most dangerous creatures on the planet. The three or four most dangerous snakes are found in Australia. The three most dangerous spiders are found here. Kangaroos are very dangerous as well. Even Kolas the cute cuddly bears and rip flesh from the bone with their claws. And I am not even talking about things that live in the sea and rivers. Edited April 2, 2018 by Hydra
Ellipsism
OP is spitting a bunch of rubbish lol. Most of what he’s claiming aside from the cricket is not true. He’s either a recent immigrant who thinks he knows everything after living in the country for two weeks or someone that hasn’t stepped outside of the north shore of Sydney.
