Ankit_sharma03
SRH CSK (girte padte pahuch jayenge) MI (yes they are @ bottom but they have the team n its their story every year) RCB/KXIP (ashwin looks to be a terrific captain who just has to get combination right vs kohli who has 3-4 players who can take the team through qualifiers) UrmiSinhaRay

zen
Haven’t seen all the teams play live so difficult to say at the moment. Many teams peak as the tourney progresses. Additionally, there are a lot of games to go so a team can sneak in with 8 wins My initial impressions from watching a few games and scorecards: * CSK: Dad’s Army. It is like someone would have to have an exceptional day for it to win on consistent basis. Though it has experienced players who can do that * DD: Good potential on paper. But could be inconsistent * K11: Not much depth. Weak bowling relatively. Some players would need to have exceptional series for it to do well * KKR: Good potential on paper. Could do well if youngsters such as Gill, Kuldeep, Rana, etc., play to their potential * MI: Relatively well balanced however international picks are not that great. Expecting Lewis, Pollard and Cuttings to be inconsistent. JP, not an impact player relatively speaking in this format. Indian players would need to get in to their groove for it to do well * RCB: Good on paper. However tends to choke * RR: Weak bowling. Again like K11, someone would need to have an exceptional series for it to advance. On its day, could be a handful * SRH: Good on paper but too reliant on bowling. If opposition gets 180 plus, batting could struggle

zen
Too many questions: 1. Can RR consistently deliver with the bat to compensate for weak bowling? 2. Can RCB sort its strategies and deliver under pressure? 3. Can K11 put big totals consistently (similar situation to RR)? And can you do well with Yuvi struggling at 4? 4. Can DD be consistent? Can it play smart cricket? 5. Can CSK’s Dad’s Army survive the long tourney (14-17 games iirc) and of course be consistent? By process of elimination (in random order): 1. MI (it is expected to win a few games and may gain momentum) 2. KKR (if youngsters come to party) 3. SRH (could pick points vs relatively weak / bowling batting sides) 4. Zero_Unit
Too early to tell. Would need the teams to play out 5 matches to get a feel. Srh limped to victory in their last two outing anyways so being on top means little to none atm. If teams starts scoring beyond 160 against them, that's when we will know if they deserve to sit at 1. Without Warner, they are a 150 at max kind of team. MI looks solid but once again somehow lost it in the last over couple of matches.
Ankit_sharma03
I have a feeling KKR will have a mid tournament captaincy crisis specially the way karthik lost control of his players in last game .

Or it could confirm its position among bottom 4 soon So far the race is among CSK, K11, KKR, RR (dark horse) and SRH speedheat
