Except for Bell's and Cook's wickets, the rest of them were brainfade batting from England. May be but he won us that match and that is the bottomline. Often great spells don't translate to wickets column and rubbish spells get 4/5fers, in that dark period 2011-2015 Lord's match was a highlight for me, a rare glimmer of joy amidst oceans of sorrow. And thank Ishant, Rahane, Vijay, Pujara, Bhuvi for making that happen. Lambu also gave us the Wellington test with brilliant bowling but Kohli's drop cost us a few hundred runs and a rare victory. Wonder what's happened to this Ishant? In 2007-08 it looked like Ishant could have been an ATG, sadly that bus has left the station. I have made peace with the fact that he will bow out with unflattering career figures but hopefully he can make amends in the most important format the next few years. This test team has serious potential and if Ishant can contribute towards our test domination for the next 4-5 years, he will be remembered very fondly. Even Zak had a crisis and only turned it around in 2007 Eng, he was part of or 2007-10 batch and that made up for his legacy even with his mediocre stats. Ishant won't be part of a WC winning team but he can potentially be a part of an Indian team that is no 1 for twice/thrice the time the 2007-10 team was. gakgupta
When i watched was struggling to control the swing ,bowled some wide outswingers .This is why trundlers who can control the swing succeed in county over quicker bowlers like aaron.Hopefully someone in the coaching dept work with him and fix his line and length without comprising on the pace....Then he will be a deadly bowlerSent from my Lenovo A7020a48 using Tapatalk Link to comment

Straight Drive
Yesterday he got one wicket in RLODC cup match against Hants. His opening bowling partner Ollie Robbinson had a better performance to show and it wasn't surprising. Ollie has out performed Ishant in the beginning part of England domestic cricket. Garuda
How come Ishant is named Unlucky Sharma. He should be named the luckiest MoFu in India. He has the worst record of people who have played more than 50 tests, yet we keep persisting with him until his retirement. He has already played 81 tests and he is reaching 30 years. Yet for some unknown reason he is continuously "backed" by our tracer bullet coach . Add to that he also "backs" Tailunt as well. Forget watching test matches for another decade where these two are picked over Rahane and Bhuvi. If India fails to be competitive in England, don't watch the next IPL and other India matches, hurt BCCI where it hurts Edited May 28, 2018 by Garuda Link to comment
