Temujin Khaghan
Do you think he would have won a lot more in this IPL or do you think he would have found ways to lose even then?
Lala
His aggression is the main negativity. He needs to be calm and cool when captaining a side like williamson and dhoni. UrmiSinhaRay

He is over animated on the field yaar. See the different between dhoni and him. Dhoni still utilizes his resources well and taking the team home. Straight Drive
1. He would have not retained Bhuvi because he prefers bowlers like Umesh Yadav and Siraj who leak runs and can't defend 130-150 runs target. 2.He would not have retained Warner. Just like he did not retain Rahul. SRH would have lost the IPL chances in acution itself with his rubbish retentions and new acquisitions without giving any importance whatsoever to have a great bowling attack. 3. Also on the field his tactics are rubbish. Changes team at blink of eyes. SRH whereas are very consistent in their playing 11. No timepass and experiments approach. His esperiments every match would have ruined SRH. 4. Morevover, the bottom line is SRH would not have won IPL like they did under Warner's captaincy. rkt.india
Abey bhutiyo what can captaincy do if your batsmen cant chase 92 of 84 balls with 9 wickets in hand. they were 55/1 after 6 overs. His captaincy was on the spot yesterday on the field. adi B, Mosher and Number

Umesh has been out of the ODI team for some time now and I think Umesh has played only 1 T20 for India long time back. Siraj too has been in and out of the T20 team. Kohli prefers BK and he has rightly been a regular feature of our LOI playing 11 for some time now. So your point that Kohli prefers Umesh and Siraj is false. adi B
Lol who gives two hoots for ipl ,his on field captaincy in test matches have been spot on and his bowling changes are normally on the money ,it's only the team selections and fielding that has let us down else he's a fine captain. In lois also his win percentage is excellent ,a captain cant do anything when you lose the toss almost all the time and have to defend in that pocket sized Bangalore ground with some average bowlers Mosher and Laaloo
vvvslaxman
Would have lost every single match. It is actually a quiet weak team with no real amazing hitters in their line up. UrmiSinhaRay and nevada 1
vvvslaxman
His problem is using his resources most effectively, having plan B when things go wrong, motivating everyone to step upto the plate. He is aggressive on the outside. But he is quiet meek otherwise. Watson played under Kohli. He is playing under Dhoni now. Watto is even more washed out now. Not like DHoni doesn't have issues. But Kohli gives up way too soon compared to all the other captains. Ability to stay in the game as long as you can is one of the key aspect of a fighting captain. Alan border school of captaincy. kosingh
His captaincy is fine in home test matches...when captaincy is barely needed. Just throw the ball to Jaddu and Ashwin, and let them work their magic. All cricket that does not involve home test matches.....

However, Umesh Yadav has always had a flop IPL season apart from this and maybe one season in last 10 years. It was risky selection, but it worked. Siraj was a flop last year as well as this. That selection has flopped. Probably i should have said that Virat is not at all good in team selection (He selected wrong bowling attack) rather than mentioning about him having preference.
