Times have changed for sure...back in the day if a former international cricketer was now working as a coach for a team called “Team Karaikudi” that would have made  a sob story and a riches to rags story.

Stepping stones for a IPL coach contract. Also TNPL on its own is quite lucrative as well for a month's work.

Never understood why many similar players never did what badri used to do. They keep struggling and screwing the team. Hatsoff to badri.  :hatsoff:

rahane should go bang bang after power plays

Is it that low? Thought with the tournament being telecast live earnings will be decent.

kpls salary cap is 30L for the whole team

But he can buildup his coaching profile now and can graduate to IPL after some time. Also there are plenty of overseas leagues who would pay you good money as a coach.

I am quite amazed that karnataka and TN are able to maintain their respective leagues SL could not NZ is not even trying.

Is it? :hmmmm2: If so, credit to players like DK and Sundar to keep themselves motivated to play the league. It's not even a fraction of what they earn in IPL.

Good to see him take up the job with enthusiasm. Maybe he is challenging himself to work his way to the top of coaching/cricket administration ladder. If a nobody like MSK Prasad can become chairman of selectors, Badri who was a way better cricketer can hope for similar success.

Karnataka and TN has lot of industries and has fanatic cricket fans. Don't know what is the problem with SL, but cricket is not a major sport in NZ where you have more sheep than total population.:phehe:
