Kaul bowled well yesterday. Even Chahar was not bad. On a 230 pitch, they conceded 198. How was that bad? Look at England pacers.

It's not about conceding runs bhai... the fast bowlers have not shown any fight or skills. We had to depend on our 5th bowler Pandya to bail us out of the situation. The fast bowlers were hit with certainty. You knew Chahar would go for runs when he was running in. Mediocre team... so many resources and no pacers to show it for

Yeah but they didn't look quality. Lambi race ka ghora nehi lag raha hai koi bhi. We got some lucky wickets in the end thanks to Pandya and hence Eng couldn't score 200+. Not a single fast bowler has that 'wow' factor.

What has even Raina done to make a comeback? Rayudu gets an Indian ODI team call just based on an awesome IPL while Pant who has been even more awesome in IPL struggles to get into even  T20 squad. Deepak Chahar jumps ahead of Rajput and others who have been on selector's radar for sometime and magically finds a place in Indian team.Something is suspicious. Is dhoni pulling the strings even in selections?

Spot on. Sad to see dhoni sycopanths still defending this blatant nepotism.

how have u declared Siraj rubbish in 2 - t20 games, t20 is not an easy format

Look at the pitch kaul n chahar bowled on , atleast wait a few matches to declare anyone case rubbish

thampi ki IPL me  dhunayi waha usse janta ne runmachine declare kr diya

Suggest us some names...I mean good domestic bowlers, CSK or any franchise...I couldn't care less. Else calling it a nepotism is not on. There is definite nepotism in Indian team when it comes to batting but not in bowling. There are no good bowlers or genuine talents....simple.

 

Selectors tried everyone - Thakur, Unadkat, Chahar, Siraj....everyone. All looks million dollar in IPL but khisiyani billi in internationals.

Arey bhai those were making their debuts. Pandya is now playing international cricket for 3 years.

Bhai I'm saying it doesn't matter whether Chahar/Mohit Sharma is making his debut or playing the 100th match, they will still be hit with certainty. The CSK quota is killing Indian cricket time and again. Piss poor selections and oldies who want to play inconsequential T20 matches just to not allow other youngsters and competitors to play and make a name.

They may bowl well in a few games or even for a season.

 

But this whole bunch of Unadkat, Thakur, Kaul  (  the guys who are getting selected these days )   ooze mediocrity.  They are not international class and are unlikely to succeed in the long run.

 

Only 3 types of pacers have gone on to become top international pacers.

 

1)  Genuine fast bowlers who are skilled too.

2)  Tall, hit the deck bounce bowlers who are very accurate.

3)  Highly skilled genuine swing bowlers who can hit the deck hard when needed.

 

 

Only Deepak Chahar may qualify in the 3rd category ...  that too only if he learns to hit the deck hard with consistency when needed.

 

We need to bring in or groom

Saini     1

Rajpoot    2  and 3

Khaleel  1  and  2

Avesh   1  and  2

Prasidh   2 and  3

Mavi   1 and  3

Nagarkoti    1

Siraj can qualify only if he can bowl at genuine pace as he is neither a bounce bowler nor a swing bowler.

 

The pace bowling attack as a whole should preferably have representatives of all 3 categories ...  with 2 genuine fast bowlers if possible.  We are not looking at this aspect too these days.

Csk quota is there but even if it isnt this Thakur reminds me of Mohit sharma,we have been trying same kind of bowlers over and over again despite their ultra mediocrity

but Thakur made his ODI debut last year. he was not playing for CSK then.
