PSB_Zone Posted July 25, 2018 Posted July 25, 2018 Mine would be Rahul ( Go mad at the start , both the openers ) Dhawan (provides ideal left right combo) Kohli ( Axis around which the team revolves) Rohit (Fails 50 % of time & stalls in opening anyway) Jadhav (6th bowler & can hit from ball one) Pant (you dont need accumaletrs at no. 6) Hardik (gun fileder ,avg bowler & bat ,Overall Great ) Bhuvi (can be lethal when it swings ) Kuldeep (our trump card ) Shami (can be replaced with chahal on slow wickets) Bumrah ( He is the best Odi bowler in the world ) Chahal (wrist spinners are like gold in ODI) Dinesh Kartik(2nd wicketkeeper finisher) Khalil ahmed ( You need a left armer for variety ) Krunal Pandya(can replace jadhav to strenthen the bowling & fielding) Vk1, mani sha, express bowling and 1 other 2 2

I would select Shami over Bhuvi as Shami is a genuine wicket taker who can strike early in the initial overs even if he goes for few extra runs. Genuine wicket taker over a economical bowler everytime for me. Bhuvi would be in the playing eleven if conditions are in bowlers favour. Agreed on Rajpoot. Looking at indian squads for A series seems like Rajpoot is only being considered as test specialist and not for LOI's but Ankit Rajpoot's chances are existent if were a selector as the thread title suggests. zen 1

He can provide us that spin bowling alround option then we can play him as alrounder instead of Pandya as seam alrounder depending on the conditions. Getting to Germany's loss there were multiple reasons but rotation was not the problem. If you remember this happened to Spain and Italy also as coaches defended the title. German problem was a weak backfield and no main strikers. Same old players in 30's were not going to deliver. There were multiple reasons but the one you listed was not the won. Even months before the cup Germany as a team was struggling and te barely beat some weak competition. If Kohli is assured of his spot and captaincy in the world cup today then you don't get it.
