Trichromatic
Pandya comes at such a crucial position. Ball will be old, team has 1 partnership, bowlers getting bit tired and you're looking for someone who can take advantage of favorable conditions to extend that lead. But his batting remains same as if he is facing new ball with fresh Broad/Anderson. Switchblade and Frustrated 2 Link to comment
Rightarmfast
Funny to see some blokes taking the average of the series out to show pandya's performance. Shows ignorance! Switchblade and sensible-indian 2 Link to comment

Now winning a series for England. Had England made excuses for him after Ashes, we would hav won this test by now. Lol. Edited September 2, 2018 by sensible-indian Rightarmfast 1 Link to comment

There's no emotion involved when it comes to building a winning team. Pandya is a good player in his own right. However, Test cricket is not his cup of tea, especially outside subcontinent. He is a limited player. Good enough for T20 and at the most ODI's. He needs to climb up the ladder through performances. He is rubbish at this point. He has eaten up one place consistently in 4 test matches and as a result, India has lost the series. Just because the others have not performed, does not mean that you throw away one position. It needed either a specialist batsman, or someone who could have performed. The result is for everyone to see, I dont have to say again. The ignorant can keep on harping and shouting, facts will remain! Link to comment
rtmohanlal
not defending Pandya by any means because no doubt he should have done lot better especially with the bat. still feel Pandya is not the problem in the larger scheme of things as of now because he still has performed with the ball & played such a crucial part in the win in the 3rd test .It is not the case of 'all is well that ends well' . Rahul,Dhawan,Kartik & Vijay are the ones who basically lost the series. Ankit_sharma03 and zen 2 Link to comment
