I would say he did the job in 4th test where he got 6 wickets and run out. This test he deserved 2 - 3 wickets with spell he bowled yesterday. The time i felt he was poor was 3rd test & 1st test's 2nd innings. He wants to play test cricket and i won't really say kick him asap because he has bowled heart out while his daughter was in ICU. Someone should work on him & Umesh. Both of these bowlers have atleast 3 years of cricket left if not 4 or 5. UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

UrmiSinhaRay
well i have no idea i just remember reading in news that his daugher was in ICU. Maybe was alot sick? You know, it breaks my heart to see kids sick. I don't know what happened behind the scenes, but Shami does love his kids a lot. express bowling
1. Fitness has not been an issue with Shami in this series. This is the fittest I have seen him in the last 40 months. He has run in well and has bowled long spells in every test match at high speeds. 2. England is turning out to be his Achilles heel. Probably because of his natural length which is on the shorter side of good length. Holding was explaining it well ... the ball moves a lot in England and the slightly shorter length is making the ball miss the edge by getting more distance to move after pitching. 3. Shami bowls really well in Asia, where his natural length is more suitable ... and also on bouncy tracks with some movement but not too much like England. He should be and will be a part of our pace bowling group in the near future. 4. Siraj and Saini need to be tried in the tests vs WI. If Shami or any other pacer disappoints in Australia or is unfit ... then these guys can come in smoothly. 5. Siraj can anyway be played in Australia, provided he can sustain intensity in the tests vs. WI. Stradlater
He has this mental block where he can't control himself for too long thus giving some easy runs . Still sidelining him would be unfair imo. He hasn't been that bad and picked some crucial wickets to turn the momentum in India's favor. Nikola
He Has bowled fine spell even today but just 1 wicket to show. Idk if will be unfair to drop him but maybe he is unlucky or maybe he needs to try something else. This is our bowling coach's job to tell him what to do when he is not getting edges. We needed Zak/Jason Gillespie type of coach not this joker bharat arun. Link to comment
prasen82
At least the bowlers are decent. So something bharat arun must be doing. If anyone need to be sacked it is bangar. Mosher and express bowling 2 Link to comment

Nikhil_cric
Comfortably the worst bowler in our team and that includes an unfit Ashwin. . Umesh can count himself unlucky to miss out. Shami bowls wicket taking balls but then bowls utter dross to release pressure . Frustrated and sandsaims 1 1 Link to comment

Number
Too impatient to keep bowling the stock ball 85% of time. Same goes for his batting. Wants quick success with very little effort. Nikhil_cric 1 Link to comment
