zen
I am a Dhoni fan (not a die hard fan though) .... Have supported him since he started out .... His end as far as international career is concerned is probably nearer than what many of us would like to think .... He deserves a good send off and what better to do it than a series in Ind with all the fans cheering for him I realize that he wants to play WC19 but Ind is not a hot favorite for the event. If it fails, a part of the blame would fall on his shoulders, impacting his legacy. Why plan on becoming a/the scapegoat? A wise man should have an exit strategy. Below is Ind's upcoming LOI schedule: Asia Cup in Sept vs WI in Ind in Oct-Nov vs Aus and NZ in Nov-Feb vs Aus in Ind in Feb-Mar ODI World Cup in May-Jul Looking at the above, WI tour appears to be the best bet to sign off with fanfare and likely on a winning note .... He can continue as long as he wants in IPL, which is what matters at the end of the day .... He should do a Cook and announce the WI series to be his last so the fans can start preparing for his farewell saik, beetle, mishra and 3 others 1 5 Link to comment

Switchblade
Dhoni has to be the most finished sportsman playing in world sport today. Solely living off past glories. When was the last series of any note won by him apart from one century against England in 2017? Adi BB, diehardpacer, Ridgepi and 6 others 2 2 5 Link to comment

Great respect to him, but he should simply say bye bye. I can understand that he may want to avenge CT defeat, but what if he nay end up contributing to one more defeat Edited September 12, 2018 by mishra UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

So what better way to entice him than a farewell series in India vs WI, where he can sign off potentially on the winning note .... And making him aware of the prospect of him being turned in to a/the scapegoat if Ind fails to do well in WC19 .... Yuv lost many fans after that inning vs SL in T20 WC final UrmiSinhaRay 1 Link to comment

Yes, But @mishra doesnt respect either Kohli or Shashtri. Because they have contributed nothing but disappointment. MSD is different class. He should simply say , enough is enough.
