Shankar is not an allrounder. He is a batsman who can roll his arm and may be land the ball straight. That’s about it. A notch above Rayudu the bowler and notch below Jadhav. Right in that sweet spot

Not over hyped. Even in Tests he gets out only when he slogs. He has to totally abandon slogging and start timing the ball.

He is a crude version of Raina. Raina can play some fabulous cricket shots in between slogging. Pant has to develop in that area. He can protect his wicket better than Karthik. But problem is he doesn't have wristy game to place the ball or time the ball.

He is 100 notches above raydud the Cricketer as well

If he can swing a bit, he can be useful in swinging conditions. In one dayers you can easily hide him.

That’s where we have to disagree. That turn Bridge  wells knock in 1983, only thing that can challenge that is the 90 odd af bay oval
