If anything, BJP have been bullied by regional parties lately for the seats allocation. BJP needs allies, but this guy is now a BJP member, so what is the reason for elevating this Panda to national VP in the exact same time period he is incorporated into the BJP? I am saying this as someone who likes Panda well enough, I was following him on Twitter, even before I knew he was a politician. A democratic party needs to elevate people who worked for them for decades and promote from within. This is what gives you a Modi, who was a common BJP-RSS worker and then, through a groundswell of support, was elevated to PM candidate. INC has done this for so long, just parachute someone into their party and give them high positions in the party. One can understand them doing so, as they are basically all subservient to the Pappu Parivaar, but how does one sell oneself as a principled party when one does the same thing as sleazeballs like INC? Look for Panda to be de facto CM candidate for BJP in Orissa as well. Gollum 1

BJP have in the past and again will offer tickets to big members of other parties. There is no point in taking a high morale ground, as that won't win you elections. The opponents today are ganging up on BJP. Like AAP which is literally begging for Congress alliance, and no AAP members have issues with that. So why BJPians have this self-defeating attitude? Next, BJP doesn't represent dynastic politics, it's leaders are self-made and that's the key difference between them and other parties.
Gollum Posted March 8, 2019 Posted March 8, 2019 If I were a ground worker from BJP I would be pissed. Terrible decision, right from the Congress handbook. These sort of shortsighted maneuvers will kill the party in the long run, develop leaders from the base level FFS. BJP workers are shedding their blood in Kerala/Bengal/UP etc, taking fight to the opposition in hostile territory and this is how you reward them.

If BJP just takes leaders from RSS, it just wont win elections. BJP is open to all, and if a good member comes, they will get their position accordingly. Just like Mr. Panda...

I'm not a member of the BJP, so BJPians, as you call them, could possibly agree with you. I am not concerned with whatever is expedient for a political party. If BJP continues on this path, they will get a GPL from their own workers themselves. This will possibly happen in UP this coming LS election itself, considering how much poaching and sidelining BJP did from SP, BSP, INC in that state to get MPs. Not that this bothers me too much, BJP will eventually have to give way for a less Dhimmi party. Edited March 9, 2019 by Tibarn
Adi BB Posted March 9, 2019 Posted March 9, 2019 Good decision, I always thought why Bjp didn't go for a guy like panda instead of useless congressi mugs .BJP needs to expand itself in orissa and they need a few seats from there this time around DHONI_FANN 1

If he however wants to also do my taxes ill wish him all the very best for wherever his future takes him. Dont forget some of these decades old workers thought it was a brilliant idea to personally drop azhar masood.

Firstly even in 2014, BJP imported a lot of leaders from other parties and they did some a role in the overall victory. It's important to remember BJP isn't represent status quo as it's Congress who have ruled the country and thus had the larger set of leaders. BJP always need and will need leaders from other parties. Next, BJP itself has suffered most betrayal from its own members. RSS members and many large leaders themselves have left BJP and joined others in plain opportunism. S
Tibarn Posted March 11, 2019 Posted March 11, 2019 (edited) Sorry guys, I don't think we will see eye to eye here. Edited March 11, 2019 by Tibarn I wrote a better post but it didn't post correctly, so =(
Moochad Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 I can see both sides. BJP has benefited from getting people like Himant in Assam, but at the same time it is crazy that Panda get a VP post. I am guessing that he made a high post a pre-condition for joining the party. Small MLAs and MPs it doesn't matter if they change parties too much b/c they do what theya re told by central commands
mishra Posted March 12, 2019 Posted March 12, 2019 BJP needs as many politicians as possible from Bengal Assam and Orissa. There arent many who can represent them. Same is for south too. You need able leaders.
